It's not good to take punches on either of them. That's why your suppose to learn how to bob and weave and drop your elbows to protect your body. Taking too many head shots is never a good thing and if you're taking body blows, if you don't get the wind knocked out of you (De La Hoya vs Hopkins) then they will definitely slow you down.

I'm not sure I understand what you're looking for but based on the answers I will tell you that "the Z-man" (Ric Z) said it all. No need in me repeating the truth. I will say this, though. From as far back as I can remember, you are always taught to keep your hands up, your head is up. As Ric stated if you work the body, and take the starch out of an opponents midsection, the hands will come down.....and when they do, there you go, the shot to the head you've been waiting on. I've been around boxing for most of my life, and, if I didn't know any better I'd think Ric was either a well schooled fighter, and/or, is a trainer.

EASY!!! Generally, people block the head more, because the head can be lights out. They ignore the body alot. The body is where to go, because it drops the arms. They get used to blocking the body, opening up a head shot. But if you hit the body early, you land alot until they hurt... too late for them then.

Based on the question itself, the poor spelling and the inability to locate the "check spelling" link prior to submitting. I'd venture to guess you've already sustained a high volume of punches to your head.
