many digital cameras of this type and price are much the same.
forget the megapixels, a proccessor has to record them, and proccess them, in less than one sixtieth of a second, maximum.
Some, dont. This gives blurr, and with some, the subject could litterally walk out of the shot between pressing the button and the image being recorded fully.
This proccessor SPEED is never shown, only the resolution. Its better to have a 4million pixel camera, than a 6million one, that ues the same sensor, and different brands, even use the same sensors bought from chip manufactures hopeing their software will excellerate it, or their camera styling will sell it, over the same sensor by another brand.
You must try the camera in the shop, and take a picture, in indoor daytime lighting, and click and see. Thats what i did in jessops, the guy was suprised, seeing the amounts of blur in different cameras, for the same scene, and he's the salesman!
Click it and see, as if its blurred, pixels and looks, and screens dont count for nothing. Canon a610/ a620, a520etc series, called powershot, are speedy.

The Fuji F11 is an excellent camera, but it's been surpassed by the new F30.
To answer Ben's points, the Fuji F10/F11/F30 series have some of the best image quality of any compact camera- and rival, if not surpass the best from Canon, at far less.
The unique thing about this series of cameras is it's incredible light sensitivity and image processing that allows you to take low noise high ISO pictures. What this means to you is that these are the ONLY compact digicams that you can take photos indoors without a flash.
Buy the F30 instead of the F11, which has been discontinued. the F30 will take a clean ISO800 image and a decent ISO1600 photo. It even has an ISO3200 setting, but that's a little noisy. Nevertheless, 2 to 3 stops better than ANY compact digicam, and rivals the big DSLRs.
IN addition to image quality and light sensitivity, the Fuji's are fast in startup and autofocus and can take over 500 shots on a single battery charge. Get it! Currently $314 from buydig.com
