At a social gathering, a widow shared the story of how her husband died

One evening, the wife and husband went to an opera. The man was bored, and fell asleep. he dreamt that he was running from a murderer, and he tripped and fell. the murderer caught up to him and shot him in the head. At this presice second, his wife, annoyed at his lack of interest, woke him. he was so startled, that he fell out of his seat, off of their high balcony, and fell 40 feet to his death.

After hearing this, a wise man concluded that this story was a fake...... How Did He Know???

i will decide which correct answer to give 10 points to by the amount of detail in the answer.

Good Luck!!!!!!

(not a true story)

The widow said he dreamt he was shot in the head after being chased by the murderer & tripping. If the husband died soon after being awoken by the wife, he couldn't have told the wife his dream. This is how the wise man knew the story was all a bunch of nonesense.

(You said amount of detail. Whoop there it is. Lol.)

If the man having the dream awoke startled, and immediately fell off the balcony, then the wife would not have been able to hear the dream her husband was having. Therefore, in the story of how her husband died, she would not know what his dream was. That's how the wise man knows that the woman's story of her husband's passing is fake.

the wise man knew it was fake because she said he fell off their high balcony, in other words, the balcony of their house and not that of the opera

surely because the wife would only wake him if he started snoring. otherwise she would be highly contented to watch the opera in peace and quiet not waking the highly intelligent husband who choose this particularly wastful time space to have a snooze!

she pushed him off, but only AFTER he told her of his dream.
she could not know the details if he fell immediately.or if he fell out of his seat, he would just hit the floor of the balcony, not over the edge.
