I can't find info on it anywhere. Anyone know when it starts? School clothes shopping to do.

Apparently, NY State has made clothing and shoes up to $110 permanently tax free, but the county you live in might do something for school time too. You should check your county's website.

I looked up Erie County's status and apparently, the way the state law was written, individual counties must either drop their sales tax completely or keep it completely. No dropping it for just a week any more. Chautauqua County is the only one in WNY to drop it.

Being a new yorker school starts after labor day sept 5th usually it starts up- tax break up to a limit of $200 per time.. ask ur local malls when it starts
