some would say the one true god drove away all the other gods. History says that you were murdered if you didn't believe in the one god so to live people chose the one

They have only survived a thousand years or two, Judaeism being older has survived a couple more thousand years.
The other religions generally died out after Christianity and Islam started slaughtering their adherents are heretics. They've also managed to nearly wipe out many Native American religions that really had lasted for thousands of years.

Some people still do. My husband and I worship deities that were once worshiped in Celtic-speaking areas in the Iron Age.
Some of these religions are called Reconstructionist (neo-pagan) faiths.
At the end of the article, there are links for Germanic, Egyptian, Roman, Greek, and Celtic Reconstructionists to learn about them individually.
http://www.thetroth.org/memsvc/stewards/...
This is a newer link for Celtic Reconstructionism than the one that they give:
http://paganachd.com/faq/index.html...
Reconstructionists are (in general), polytheists and their practices are culture-specific. There are also neo-pagan religions that are not culture-specific that worship the ancient gods such as Wicca.

My prominent is set. compliment Set! super is the potential of Set; for particular he will grind the unbelievers decrease than his sands, rather he will burn them to ashes with blazing winds, and scatter them so as that they could´t be got here upon. He shall carry at the same time his flock at Ombos. There are gods that are confounded by a stupid little grass snake. Set defeated a one hundred twenty-foot snake with a head created from flint each and every evening for hundreds of years (earlier that upstart little Anubis stole his job). Set develop into worshipped 3000 years earlier a undeniable Hebrew wood worker who shall stay nameless pooped his first diaper.

"old religions" have tended to die out because of the missionary efforts of the "bigger" faiths, such as christianity, islam, buddhism, ect. and while many contemporary people may be of one world religion or another, there are communities all over where pre-conversion practices may remain. such as leaving offerings for ancestors, local ceremonies/holidays celebrating fertility, worshiping at certain natural formations, etc. while the larger structure of pre-conversion traditions may no longer be intact, many small reminders of these traditions may still be around and be in practice.

Christianity, Judaism and Islam are all closely related. They all discuss many of the same characters from different viewpoints. In fact, many of those characters exist in secular historical record. That gives them greater credibility and "staying power."
Myths die out as myths. They're fashionable for a time, but they don't last because they simply have no basis in reality.

Of course those deities are still around and still worshipped.... its just that they went for a name change and immigrated into other cultures... Zeus the king of gods is almost the same as Indra the king of the gods in Buddhism and Hinduism ( and folk taoism ) In Buddhism he is called Sakra, In Hinduism Indra and FOlk Taoism her is called the Jade Emperor... they ALL wield lightning bolts

Well, why not? we are entering the Age of Loki, after all.
But gods evolve, take on new aspects. Now most of them are worshipped by different branches of Neo paganism.

They do. They are generally called Pagans although some will also call themselves Wiccans, followers of the "Old Religion."

i've read many times over that in fact we still do in a round about sort of way. as in Ra the "sun" god has been transformed into a more palateable jesus the "son" of God in order to fit the christian bill. so in fact its not died out at all.
