See if you can find a local homeschooling support group to find out what they may have available or maybe even get together with some other homeschoolers to start a club. Also, in some areas, homeschooled students are allowed to join the local school teams and clubs. Another possibility is to see if there are community sports teams in your area or other community clubs.

You don't say if you live in the city or country or about how old you are, but that's ok. If you live in the county try 4-H, they have lots of different kinds of clubs, also many girls enjoy the Girl Scouts. If you live near a city, some non profit organizations have Step clubs, majorettes and things like that. A lot of towns have softball leagues, bowling leagues, etc that you can join that are not affiliated with a particular school.
Tell your parents you want to make some new friends in a club or something and see if they will ask around. Chances are good there are other homeschoolers in your area that also are looking for the same thing, and you can make other homeschooled friends too.
Some public school districts even let you join in some school sports and teams even if you're homeschooled. Your parents just have to ask the guidance department what is available to you.
Hope this helps :) I have a friend in Texas who homeschooled all four of her kids, they are going to college and doing great!

You will need to check your local organizations to find teams and clubs.
For homeschoolers in Salem, Oregon we have Indoor Soccer PE classes, Sound Jubilee Band and Choir, Ultimate Frisbee, Debate, Science Fair, Ballet, Basketball, Baseball, 4-H, Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts, and many other things too.
The public high schools in our area allow participation of homeschoolers on the sports teams.
Check into HSLDA and find support groups for homeschoolers in your locality. Many of them have online email groups and regular announcements of activities. Others have newsletters that will come in the mail.
If you have trouble locating a homeschool organization you are welcome to contact me. I will be happy to point you in the right direction. Finding things is one of my side-hobbies. My friends tease me and call me Sherlock.

I am with a charter program thru the state of California and we have our own programs and classrooms as well as they pay for my kids extra curricular activities. My daughters both do horseback riding, and jazz dance classes....I would check out your local charter program

do volunteer work... or if you're at high school level, try to enroll into a community college too and take some courses, you'll have to take a placement test to see if you're 'college ready' ... that's what I did, I loved being 16 and a college student! you'll meet soo many people and maybe network with them... if they're good people, they'll get you involved in something cool.
