XP Pro, in my opinion, is more stable (doesn't crash as much). Also you can run IIS (internet information systems - a web server software that comes with windows) on XP Pro, and you can't run it on XP Home. There are I'm sure other features of Pro that don't come with Home but I'm not as familiar with all of them.

Xp home's key is for one computer only while xp pro's key can be used on several. So if you want to use it on more than one computer go with xp pro.
