You say pets, I presume you mean animals. Yes, homosexuality occurs in all species. Have you just arrived on the planet?

Yes, there have been documented cases of homosexuality in animals. As far as pets are concerned, a horny dog or cat will hump anything that is availiable......it's their version of masturbation, since they don't have the advantage of hands.

There are countless examples of homosexuality in animals, not just in 'mounting behaviour' but real sustained relationships; most noticeably in swans and other fowl.

No not at all, they go on instinct, a cow may mount another cow, this just means there ready for mating there not having sex, homosexuality is a human thing, as the word says homo as in homo sapiens. A dog will mount anything this doesn't mean its thinking go away bich i like that hunky husky, its just feeling horny it may mount your leg what sexuall trait would you call that lol.

I don't know about other animals, but dogs will appear to "hump" one another regardless of sex. This is not actually about sex but dominance. The dog tries to gain more power by dominating (intimidating) the other dogs.

I believe so, though not entirely.
A frustrated dog - eg mine will get it from wherever he can. If humans can be then why not pets?

Certainly can.
We had 4 male gerbils once (because we ONLY wanted 4!), and one of them took to "riding piggy-back" (as my parents insisted on describing it) on his poor unwilling pals!

My dog and I frequently indulge in full penetrative intercourse with one another, we are both male and in otherwise normal heterosexual relationships otherwise. Does canine bisexuality count?
