I am planning to buy one of these types of cars. All these cars range from $8000-10000. Which would you recommend? This is going to be my 1st car. Which is the best buy.

id tell you none of them. there all **** except for the Honda civic EX.
Id tell you go find an acura integra.96-97 or the 98+ style they have coupes and sedans...they are excellent cars..ive owned two of them. You can get a GSR vtec for about your price range..LS/GS's are a bit more inexpensive and not Vtec..but just as good(what i own is a 98 LS 4dr)
Ive also owned a lancer..and a honda civic...many many problems.steer clear of them..
as for the Sunfire..there GM..GM sucks..they dont last..and well Jettas..where do i start..lol there german..they also wont last like a japanese car will(honda/acura/toyota/lexus)

Go with the Civic all the others you mentioned will not be as reliable, but still good

Civic is the only good car on that list.
