Since the Bible was originally written in Hebrew and Greek I find it helpful to look at what the original word meant. The word 'Hell' comes from the Hebrew word 'Sheol' and the exact meaning has been lost over the years but the common understanding of it is, "resting place," "the place that asks for and demands all without distinction of persons." "It is in the earth and is always associated with the dead, and plainly means the common grave of mankind."
The Greek word for 'Hell' is 'Hades' and is the equivalent of 'Sheol'. It can also mean "hollow place," grave, or pit.
It therefore refers to a large mass grave that never becomes full, is not a literal place, does not have a specific location. Rather, it is the common grave of dead mankind, the figurative location where most of mankind sleep in death. The only dead ones not in sheol or hades are the wicked who are in Gehenna which symbolizes everlasting destruction.
The Bible refers to death as sleep from which there will be an awakening. Acts 7:60 and 1 Corinthians 15:6.
Acts 24:15 says "There is going to be a resurrection of both the righteous and the unrighteous." These are the ones in sheol and hades. They will be resurrected and judged not on their past deeds but on what they do 'after' they are resurrected, whether or not they are willing to serve God. John 5:28,29.
1 John 4:8 says "God is Love." Is it reasonable for us to think that God, who is the epitome of Love, would forever torment people with fire? Any such teaching dishonors and slanders God.
How would you feel about a man who punishes his disobedient child by holding his hands in a fire? Would you respect such man? Would you want to get to know such a man? I certainly wouldn't, I would think he was a cruel, horrible man. God wants us to get to know him, he tells us this in James 4:8.
Therefore from what I read in God's Word to us I see no reason why American Indians or Aztecs or anyone else who died without acknowledging God would be burned or punished or tormented. Rather, as the Bible says, I believe that they will be resurrected or brought back to life and be given a chance to learn about God

In popular culture Hell is depicted as being in the underground, just below the Earth's crust, and Heaven in the sky. So we, the people, are closer to Hell than we are to Heaven. So Hell must be... just a little worse than everyday life...

Blessed are the Pure of Heart, for they will see GOD.
Matt 5:8
That means you will sin. It means that if you ask forgivness, if you are truely sorry and not out maliciously commiting sin, then you will be forgiven.
I can't tell you how Hell is like. I believe it will be a place where your own fears are brought to reality. How else would it scare anyone if they got there.
Now I have given you the way to get out of going. Talk with Jesus. He will listen.

John 3:16 says all who believe will have eternal life - and Jesus later adds that those who have done good will rise from the dead and have life forever, but those who did evil will rise and be judged. Revelation describes a new Jerusalem here on earth where believers will enjoy eternal life. It also describes the walls outside of the new Jerusalem as the river of burning sulfer - the place where those who were evil exist.

well the bible talks about a hell on Earth like David speaks of, It also speaks of a place that holds dead like Lazurus sees and they can see Heaven from it. It speaks of the lake of Fire and it also speaks of Tartartus a Spirit hell. Wouldn't know if you are going if you don't know this then God will judge you on what you have in your heart and have done I suppose. Do you think that you are going there then?

Hell is a place of torture and suffering, also called the Lake of Fire. If you have not accepted Christ Jesus as your savior then you are going to Hell. Its that simple: if you dont want to go to hell, ask Jesus to be your savior. If you need more info read the Bible.

Hell is separation from God for eternity. It's also described in the bible as a very hot place.
Those who deny Jesus, who reject Him as their savior...they will go to hell. How do you keep from going to hell? You have to realize you have sinned, and that Jesus died on Calvary to take the penalty for those sins upon Himself. If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart God raised Him from the dead, you shall be saved.

Hell is the atemporal state of eternity in which you suffer the full wrathful gaze of the most high God. Remember that to simply look at God would utterly destroy you. Imagine the power of God's angry gaze.
As for how to keep from going to Hell, its pretty easy. You've simply got to stop calling God a liar and take him at his word. Then follow the instructions he's given us in the bible. Specifically, believe that Jesus is really God's son, that he died as payment for your sins, and accept that payment for your sins.

hell is where everyone who is not saved by Jesus go on Judgement Day. it is a place of fire that burns forever. it is the absolute worst place and nightmarish reality anyone could imagine. you could read about it in the Bible if you go to the index section and look under hell.
you get saved by
1. asking Jesus to forgive all your mistakes
2. to change your life, your person so you will please Him
3. asking Him to be your Lord and Savior
Lord-your only God who you worship
Savior-Jesus who saved your life from hell
once you are saved it is for eternity, you can never be unsaved by anything you do or don't do. you need to be honest if you want to be saved because God knows our hearts and He will know if we lie.
God bless you

Hell is death. If you are sinful when Jesus returns you will be burnt quickly, and die. Hell was created for Satan, and his angels. They will suffer for all the pain done to God's children. But,the bible says they too, will burn up. It will take a little longer for them.
