Well when wet you can pour baking soda over it and it will aborb the urine but this can be pretty messy. What color is your carpet? I used resolve for petstains and it worked for me. Also when your puppy finally gets potty trained then you steam clean the carpet. For odor (if you don't want to use a traditional store product) try equal parts of white vinegar and water.

There is a product called ODORMUTE. You can purchase through Ryter Corp - 29 Estes Ave N.W. - Madelia, Mn. 46062
phone: 507-642-8529. It's a powdery product dissolved in water and it actually controls skunk odor. It eliminates organic odors and is used in animal shelters, Zoos, wild animal ranches and livestock barns. Now...getting the stains out? I'm not sure if this product will work.

As bad as it sounds, a professional carpet cleaning service. I've gone through the same thing and that's all I've found that really gets the smell out.

Resolve Carpet Cleaner with Oxy Clean works really well. Febrese over the area once it dries.

1/2 white vinegar mixed with 1/2 water. Use a spray bottle to spray it on the accident (if it's on carpet or some other fabric) and then blot dry with a towel or something. I used bleach water on my floors that weren't carpeted.

I asked the professional carpet cleaners once what they use, and they admitted that all they do for pet stains is pour vinegar and water over it. That's probably your best and cheapest bet.

There's a new commercial out on tv for Urine Gone. I don't have any pets, so I haven't tried it.
