You try to sleep but you don't get much. Your eyes stare all the time. They call it a 1000 yard stare. Because you are constantly looking for the enemy. You say your prayers hoping that you will go to heaven. You think about your family and pray you will see them again. You want a letter from home. Just a word that says that there is still something normal in the world to look forward to. You wonder if you will be alive to see the sun rise. You have blood on your hands that won't come off no matter what you do or how many times you wash them. You spend your life trying to justify was it really them or me? Will God turn his back on me because I killed some one else? Is there ever going to be sanity in my life again? How can I go home and fit back in after this? I can't tell anyone what I have been through. They will look at me differently. Every day, please God make it stop!

what war? On what continent? In what service (Military or Peace Corps) Flying, Navy, Army actions? Or do you mean just in Combat action with bullets churning overhead,leaves and sticks falling on you, artillery shells bursting louder than the mortar explosions,someone hollering "MEDIC!" between the roaring noises in the ears,when someone finally gives an order to move.... What, they don't make enough movies on that stuff! for you?

It's like living in a nightmare all the time! excpecting the ugliest faces of death every moment....and knowing that if u stayed alive now, u might either vanish tomorrow or live in a sea of humilation and pain!
