This has become...rather irritating. I've check through the mail and I picked out the monthly check that I get from the US Treasury...from Philidelphia, PA.

It's signed like this, by address(sorry, but I'm going to be a tad confidential):
[To my mother for me]
[The Address of my home]
[San Diego, CA. Some Zip Code]

The problem is, how/where can I cash it in at without having my mother being involved? I wanna cash it myself! >_<

As long as your mother is on the check, she'll need to be involved. She if she'll sign the back of it and then write "payable to (your name)". Then you sign it at the bank and they should be able to at least deposit it into your account. For future months, see if the government can directly deposit it into your account - that would probably make it even easier.

You have 3 choices.
1. Have your mother cash the check.
2. Have you mother complete a 'Power of Attorney' allowing you to cash the check
3. Get the agency that issued the check to replace it with one made out to you.
