You're right in terms of some Christians do talk like that. And that IS wrong. We are not the ones to judge. That's where many of the fundie Christians start to give a bad name to the rest of us. They actually do have a lot of proof that Jesus lived. The question is whether or not he was the Son of God.
Those with (Christian) faith such as myself believe he was. And if I believe that, I also believe Jesus' words about not judging others. Faith is a beautiful, magnificent, strengthening, rather unexplainable experience for those who experience it. Shoving it down someone else's throat gives it the same quality as algebra. There's a big difference between the shoving and demonstrating. Demonstrating through action and being available to talk about God and/or Jesus, for me, is the sign of a true believer who "gets it."

I can understand where you are coming from so I hope that you can lay down the offense and hear what I am saying as it is hard to convey a message via email/ chat forum without leaving the tone and intent up to the hearers imagination. I tend to be blunt sometimes so please know that I am not writing with a haughty spirit.
First of all- all to often by athiests and Christians alike, the "do not judge" scriptures are taken completely out of context and when read in the fullness of the context one understands that it is not the judging that is a proble,. it is the judging with a wrong motive or attitude that will cause the judge problems. I won't go any deeper into that as that can easily be researched and studied out by anyone that has interest in the truth of what it actually says.
As to why Christians believe you belong to Satan, well, I don't think Chrsitians should be going around screaming at anyone "you are going to hell" or " you belong to Satan" Though the dangers of hell are very real- that is not quite how Jesus went about it.
For those of us that believe the Bible, there are only two sides of the fence, Jesus Christ who redeemed us from our sins and freed us to have fellowship with Him or Satan, who is not but claims godhood, and Satan owns the fence.
It would be as if we were in a burning building and there was only one way out, if I knew that way and I knew for sure that everyone who did not go that way would die, I would be making sure that everyone I saw knew the way to go. Those that are taking other paths will find no exit and those are the paths Satan would have us follow. So basically, whatever you believe, even if you say you are a Christian or an athiest, if you are not following Jesus, you are following Satan. We are passionate about what we believe because it is about a relationship, one that has brought us from turmoil to peace, from confusion to understanding. I don't tell you the gospel to say that I am better than you or I have the corner on Jesus, it is because I wn\ant you to experience something so wonderful but you cannot understand without acceptance and faith.

I am a Christian, and I agree that we should judge not lest we be judged. I cannot believe the number of Christians out there today who think they know exactly what's going on in their neighbors' lives. All of what you just said is between you and God (or whatever you personally believe), as far as I'm concerned, and it is therefore your private business. I know a lot of people are going to say that Christians are also to proselytize, but that does not require shoving Christianity down peoples' throats, or sticking your collective noses in their business. That approach only makes people even more wary of Christians in the first place. No one would willingly participate in something that has been put to them that way, anyway.

Disagree. I don't live by religion or by man-made doctrines. So, you can't say that I am influenced by religion, okay?
I truly have proof that Jesus exists! I have been saved by him again and again. I have a deep relationship with Him. I see Him working in my life aaaalllll the time. I read the Scriptures (the Bible) and they have come to life for me.
Now, as far as where you go when you die is the same for everyone! We all go back to the dust...from dust we came, from dust we shall return. BUT, the difference is (and this is Bible not religion information)....the resurrection hope. When Jesus returns to judge the living and the dead. Those who have faith in Him and His Resurrection, will have everlasting life. Those who do not believe in His Ransom Sacrifice and His Resurrection will go off into everlasting destruction.
That is what the Bible says....and, you are right. Jesus is our Judge and no one else. So we will all find out when Jesus comes on Judgement Day where we stand.

As a Christian, I can tell you to relax.
No real Christian is going to barge up to you and tell you that you're going to Hell. Some people believe in God; others don't. Not everybody is going to believe, and that's okay. Despite all the silly televangelists you may have seen on TV, most churches don't instruct their members to go about blithely announcing that their friends and neighbors are going to Hell.
You're telling us not to judge, but good grief, look at all the judging you're doing here. Here's what you're saying: All Christians are Fundamentalists. All Christians hate atheists. All Christians are merely squawking parrots whose only intellectual contributions consist of regurgitating the babblings of some backwoods Bible-thumping preacher.
Wrong, wrong, and wrong.
There are good and bad people in every segment of society. Don't let a few fanatics throw you off. I've met fanatical, abrasive atheists aplenty. But I count many atheists and agnostics among my friends, and in general, they're good people. Christians and atheists can get along, and very easily. It happens all the time.
Learn a little tolerance, please...and again, relax.

AHH, but I do KNOW where I am going.
I didn't say that you are the property of Satan.
I said that Satan is using you but you are unaware of it.
And making a true statement IS NOT judging.
I don't need proof in the same form that you apparently do.
I feel the proof inside. I see the proof in my children and the wonderful things in nature here on Earth.
You have the right to voice your thoughts just as I have the right to voice mine.
We don't have to agree, but it's funny that you were offended and became angry; yet you tried to offend me but I won't allow you to damper my beliefs.
You must enjoy the conflict or why else would you be reading and responding to the religious questions?
You will Never change my mind and I am not trying to change yours.
But if you don't want to hear religious comments then you need to read something else.

Personally as a Christian I don't believe that it is right to judge the beliefs of another person. God gave us free will so we could make our own decisions. However, there is plenty of proof of the existence of Jesus. Several letters and articles have been discovered from research into the Roman Empire. A letter to Pontious Pilate from a Roman official mentions a preacher named Jesus during the time the Bible states. Also, there are census documents and other pieces of literature that prove the existence of Jesus as well as his family. However, a Christian is not nearly as concerned with the man Jesus as the Son of God Jesus. The latter figure is one of faith though. No document can prove that he was God. One must rely on their faith, reason, and judgement to determine if they believe in Christ.
It is not the Christian's job to convert everyone especially those who have no desire to be converted. We are here to live out what we believe is right and spread a message of love and forgiveness, which can be accepted or ignored.

I wouldn't judge you, only warn you of what you're headed to if you don't follow Christ. Whether you decide to change course or not is your problem after that.
I do have proof Jesus existed, one, the Bible says so, two, there are a few references to Him outside the Bible, not many bc He frankly didn't have a whole lot of influence outside of Judea. But there are some referencesto Him, such as that in Tacitus's work.
You say that "you and no one else knows where I am going when I die so I would be very careful how much you spout in this life" that seems to be an admission that Christians know you're going to hell if you don't follow Christ, and that you're threatening us saying you'll go to hell if we talk about your need for change. That seems an odd threat, since you're the one who would suffer for the lack of knowledge of Christ.

IF you are not obeying God and accepting Jesus as your savior, you are not serving God but obeying satan. That would make satan another god that you choose over the almighty God. You are following evil over good.. You can't have it both ways. You can't be nutural..
Exodus 20:3 Thou shalt have no other gods before me.
Jeremiah 25:6 And go not after other gods to serve them, and to worship them, and provoke me not to anger with the works of your hands; and I will do you no hurt.
Matthew 6:24 No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.
Judges 10:13 Yet ye have forsaken me, and served other gods: wherefore I will deliver you no more.
IF you are not with God then you are with satan. There is not gray area or middle ground here.
John 3:36 He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.
John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
This says it all.

Is this a question, because it sounds like you are just venting. I can't answer your first question, it is obviously a reaction to what you heard from some, not all of "us Christians". You shouldn't group all Christians in the category of bible thumping and judging, just as you wouldn't want to be categorized as some view all Atheists; immoral, lost, soulless, haters, etc. To try to answer your questions, you are right, none should judge. We are all human and it sounds like you judge Christians sometimes too. As for proof, no one has any, and no one will find any in this life. You don't have to have proof to believe something. And you don't have to be a Christian to understand having faith in someone or something.
