whinning, lost, sad, only wanting to down someone's faith, or just plain being mean.
No people I am neither of those things, I'm just asking a question. I don't care if your religion is the greatest thing in the world to you. I don't care if you want to talk about your religion in the answer to a question, just answer the question without thinking you know my personality, because you don't. This is one of the reasons that Christians continue to make themselves look bad to the rest of the world, you can never just answer a question without wanting to punch the questioner in the face!!
Try for once to put those Emotions aside to answer without hatred and maybe you would be accepted better.
And you wonder why we have so many wars fought because of religion.

Religion is a touchy subject and It is easy to be facetious when people are behind the safety of their computer screens....Some can be real smart a**es in those situations, because is not face to face....Also, in this forum you can't see the person's expressions or maybe you don't get his/her sense of humor, coupled with some poor writing skills, and that contributes to people's intentions being easily mistaken.

But like you said too, some are just plain hateful...

If you are asking a question about religion than why are you upset when someone tried to answer with an explaination to help you understand the answer?
I don't hate others for not believing as I do...in fact, most people have the same basic beliefs but just different means of practicing them.
And our wars are not fought for religion. America fights wars on our principles that we will help when someone asks us to and that we will not allow someone to come here and attack us.
In the middle east and elsewhere many wars are fought over religion.
Also, depending upon how you phrase a question you might be setting yourself up for a more Christian type answer.

How come YOU can't just ask a simple question, but instead feel the need to put down everyone whose faith actually means something to them??

**just so you know, I am not religious and am not defending myself, because I usually don't ask or answer questions in the Religion category. You know why I don't? Because usually the questions people are asking are whinning, lost, sad, only wanting to down someone's faith, or just plain being mean.
Somehow, I feel like whatever answers you got on whatever questions you are referring were justified and that maybe YOU should be the ones to put YOUR feelings SELF-RIGHTEOUSNESS aside.

That's a good question. Its funny, the kind of people who say stuff like what you're seeing are the ones who've driven real people away from them, so they have all the time in the world to be bigoted online. Chat rooms get a lot of misanthropes like them, too. The good Christians are out living their faith through their lives and don't need to scream at atheists and potentially honest (omg) people using this system for its intended purpose. As for me, I just can't get enough of the "What Should I do Retard"....but that's an other question I'd like to have answered, hmmm......

If you really want to know about the different faiths, why don't you go to the library and read up on them? Why not take each faiths authority and read it? What is your purpose of asking provocative questions?

Your statement, Christians look bad to the world is so bias that it destroys any possible credibility that you might have had!

Do Christians force their women to ware iron mask, hide their head, forbid them to be in public unless escorted by a male, marry them off to other men (even strangers), without their consent? Do they forbid schooling and higher education, not allow them to drive cars?

No one has to meet YOUR criteria, and as a stranger, it is none of your business about their faith/religion/belief.

Talk about the reasons for war, what did we fight Hitler about? I guess we did not like the Church he went to. Why did we drop the bomb on Japan? Let you tell it, it was because America caught the Japanese praying in a temple and not a church!

Who ever you are, the rule of courtesy and decency applies, within this forum, just as every where else in life.

It might be a good idea, that you learn the, whys, of a faith and join it.

To how many men and women have you spread sexual transmitted diseases?

That too is a "simple question." Your hysterical reactions and broad generalizations about the "world's feelings" and "wars" make it clear that the last thing you desire is a cool intellectual exchange. Perhaps by curbing your prejudices and ignoring those who put on masks for dramas here you will reach those who can answer you [if that is what you really want, that is].

Otherwise, enjoy your stay in the zoo. Obviously it is your home too.

So call Christians have been fighting amongst themselves for as long as Christians have lived.

Am sadden you have been done wrong in attempting to get an answer to some question. But that's just the good Christians who must be right and heard the loudest.

It only seems that way,it is often what they are saying that hits home convicts of our sins, we naturally get defensive. It is also diverse and not everyone acts the same way so you can't just lump everyone into the same group. Saying one is Christian or wiccan for that matter does not make it so. The We in your wars comment question who does that refer to? Did you really personally go to war? How old are you? Take care ~A~

You just keep on asking, and do not pay any attention to the smutty answers you get on here. That is the way a lot of the so called atheists and non believers get their kicks. Keep up the good work.
