There's no clear-cut answer to your question. Some say yes, others no. It'll never end. Personally, the man has more heart than most athletes out there. His mind and his body are in super shape--contrary to what anyone says. Evander has never been an eloquent speaker, the whole speech thing is overstated, and, mis-stated. One last note, I never hear anyone saying that a 60 to 70 year old man who runs a company needs to step aside. If Evander wants to fight, he's an individual--unlike the 60-something CEO who starts losing it, and, decides he is going to play with others lives, earnings, retirement funds etc. THe CEO's poor decisions hurt everyone in that company, and, its shareholders. Evanders decision to fight, should he be beat into the next day only hurts himself. I do believe that Evander will make a serious run at a belt, if not 2 of them. Regardless, as a former fighter, a current trainer, and, a fan of the fight game, I wish Evander the best. I do believe when the time is right he'll step aside.

I think that holyfield really is getting old for boxing. Even though he is in very good shape for his age, he is is still not what he used to be. I think that he should fight a few more matches to prove himself "the real deal", but after that he should retire. At his age boxing can really hurt him so he should be careful and make the right decisions.

Not at all.. the man needs to retire and concentrate on other things in life. If he tries taking on any serious (top 10) boxer, he is going to get severely hurt. Holyfield just doesn't have the skills anymore to handle a quality, larger opponent.

Let's wait and see his next fight. He looked good to me when he beat Bates plus those 20 months layoff help him recover from the back injury. He's never looked this good in a long, long time. Would love to see him win the championship for the fifth time. He's no quitter.

Age is the great equalizer in sports. Holyfield should realize that his time has passed.

Evander is still looking good.
The real question is whether George Foreman should be still shilling small kitchen appliances.

Have you heard his speak recently? He's already suffering from brain damage. There's no way he should be fighting again.
But then he's fighting a total nobody, so what's he proving anyway? He must REALLY need the money.

these guys like Foreman and Holyfield should retire gracefully
and not endanger their brains like poor Ali did.

If Foreman can do it, so can Holyfield. If he looses, he'll be hurting his own w-l record.

Its not his age. he took to many puches, and evan admitted that he couldnt react to the puches anymore. He would see them coming but couldnt block them or get out of the way.
