With this method, you don't actually cook it.
Cerviche Of Scallop And Salmon
Ingredienser
1 1/4 c fresh sea scallops; sliced
1/4 c skinless salmon fillet;
-diced into 1/2" pcs.
1 shallot; minced
1/2 c tomato juice
1 tomato; seeded, diced small
1/4 c fresh lemon juice; (about 1
-medium
-- lemon)
1/4 c diced red bell pepper
1/2 tb extra-virgin olive oil
Salt and pepper; to taste
1 ts paprika
1 tb chopped fresh cilantro;
-(reserve 4 sprigs
-- for garnish)
2 ts sugar
4 lemon wedges for garnish
Tilberedning
In a medium bowl, combine all ingredients. Cover with plastic wrap;
refrigerate for 24 hours (in a refrigerator that is set no warmer than
40'F) until fish is an opaque white. Using a slotted spoon, drain
liquid and divide fish between 4 plates. Garnish with lemon wedges and
cilantro sprigs and serve.
NOTE: In this Mexican dish, the acid in the lemon juice "cooks" the
fish, turning it opaque and killing most bacteria. However, you must
start with the freshest fish from a reputable merchant and use
scrupulously clean utensils, Drain most of the oil along with the other
liquids before serving in order to reduce the fat content.

I like to cook fish too, but my boyfriend wont let me cook it in the house for the same reason. I was watching a KET special and thats where I got the idea. What they did there was dig a whole in the ground and heat coles there and wrap your prepared fish with butter and aluminum foil so it doesn't stick and throw it on the coles.
I didn't want to dig a whole, lol so I used the same idea except with a grill. Just put coals in the grill get some fish( I used potatoes and zuccinni and butter). Wrap them and put them directly on the coles. You can hear it sizzle, continue to flip. I would say it takes about 15 min to be finished but you can always pull it off and check though.
It turned out really good.

I love salmon on the grill outside. I put about a teaspoon of olive oil on the fish and then some seasoning---usually a dry rub, but you could use dillweed or lemon pepper or salt and pepper and garlic or whatever you like. Depending on how hot your grill is, and how thick the fish is, it is about 7 minutes per side, but I tend to cook it a bit longer, as I like my salmon fairly well done.

Use really fresh fish, the fresher it is the less it smells. And don't over cook it as that will increase the smell.

Use Lysol disinfectant and go spraying around the house. I never cook it at home, cause it smells like crazy after. I prefer them raw.

ok if you want to get rid of the smell you cut a pineapple in half and place one half in the kitchen and the other half somewhere else in the house..the pineapples absorb all kinds of smell....trust me it works!
