No. You can only "burn" fat if you take in fewer calories each day than you need. So if you "need" 1200 calories, and you actually consume 1,000 then you are "burning" 200. Then you will lose weight.
Also, keep proteins, fats, and carbs in a ratio so that they work together. If you go all protein then you lose the metabolic powers of the carbs, in which proteins and fats are "consumed" by the body. It is a misconception that our bodies do not need fats. We need them, and we need protein, and we need carbs. Just drop that caloric intake and you will see the pounds drop off. Add exercise to the regimen and you will really look great!

Could be.
Your body can not store protein so it can't make you fat, unless there is fat in it.
You need carbs for energy, carb can be made into fat so watch how much carbs are in it.
The more you work muscle the more carbs you burn and the more protein will be used to build more mussel. more muscle the more carbs you burn.

They don't do it by themselves. You need to do anaerobic exercises to break down muscle and eat protein to nourish the broken muscle to heal itself to make it stronger. You need to do aerobic exercises to burn fat and need carbohydrates to give you the energy for your exercises. As long as you consume less calories in a day than you burn, you will lose weight.
