No, I disagree....he DID NOT go to heaven. When you commit suicide, you go to hell. I'm sure he thought getting baptized was going to get him into heaven but it didn't. Sorry

He was already in trouble, that's why he came to church-he just did not connect.
This is one reason many churches get bad names. People get into trouble: divorce, bankruptcy, adultery, whatever-they come th church for help. That's why the churches "seem" full of the "wrong" people. Many wind up in church, some for the better, other not so.

Most likely the poor bloke was so depressed that he turned to religion for answers, which worked for a while, then he got down again, and maybe life dealt him a nasty turn and he just didn't have anyone to stop him from jumping off the bridge. I hope he is at peace now. Mental illness is a terrible thing to have to deal with alone.....I am sorry for his family's loss....or maybe they are the reason why. The reason went with him.

sometimes people can be their own worst enemy. as a christian myself I have witnessed a backsliding Christian go through some extremes even if they go to church all the time and do nothing but praise Him..it takes much more than that to keep a level head in perspective of the oncoming rapture..in short..he may have been too pressured to be the best Christian he could be by others around him and he just caved in...it happens...God bless all those who are trying to have a sincere relationship with Him..

Huge facade. He was deeply depressed and saw no way out. Unfortunately for him, if you kill yourself and take the easy way out, you are going straight to hell. Life is a gift and a test of faith. It's best to be nice to everyone because you never know who might need a friend. I feel bad for his family. What a shock it must have been.

He wanted to get closer to God. Personally, I believe that suicide is NOT a sin. I believe that taking your own life is your own business and life, from a divine perspective, is not a test, but rather a phase of existence.

I totally believe that your life is yours to do with as you please as long as what you do does not hurt others. Basically, that means that some people, the Bush family as an example, are damned to the deepest depths of hell for all of eternity.

once you fall into water from that distance (type of 220 feet above the floor of the water), this is like falling onto concrete; the water would not "supply" quickly sufficient to cushion your outcome. It has to do with hydrogen bonds and floor rigidity; you may as well bounce from a severe upward push.

It means we don't know what's in someone heart. Being baptized and "playing church" doesn't save you. Only God knows what's in your heart.

this kid who used to live in my development when i was younger, was a year older than me, gorgeous, a straight A student, captain of the soccer team, and pretty much the golden boy. he hung himself from an oak tree in his backyard after school one day. i mean honestly, i guess it was pressure. the pressure to be perfect just kind of got to him. people who look like they have absolutley no problems on the outside have them on the inside. nobody is perfect!

it means that Christians have problems too. He was obviously depressed or distraught and thought suicide was his answer. Jesus was waiting for him on the other side and now he has perfect peace with all problems gone.
