what is a great way to tone your abbs and lose weight other than sit ups and crunches?

I do these leg lifts, where I sit on a stool while holding the seat and lift my legs up, keeping them held straight for a 10 second count and relax. Do this for 5 reps at a time, and do about 3 sets of these. If you can, try using ankle weights. You'll definitely feel it!
