I would appreciate every moment as the gift it really was (even the challenging times). Sometimes you think that the work, tantrums, and sass will never end, but it's all over-- the good as well as the bad-- too quickly.

I have two older sons whom I never let have a PlayStation. They are both adults now and they both spend their weekends out doors. One rides mountain bikes and the other golfs. I have a 9 year old and I broke down and let him have a Game-boy last Christmas. I'm taking it away when school starts.

If I had to do it all over again, I'd read to them more, I'd take them to more concerts and I wouldn't give a sh** what they wore to school or how long their hair was.

First of all, I would have made MUCH better decisions about who I married.. and second, I would have been a lot less selfish in the early years. I would have waited quite a few more years before having children.. after I had established my chosen career. Now, I am playing catch-up.

I would have waited to have him...not that I regret having my child by any means, but I would have waited until I was a little more mature and ready for a baby.

I would also have let him learn to fall aslwwp on his own. We rocked him to sleep until he was 4 yrs. old!

I would have my husband more involved in the displining. My teenager thinks I'm the bad guy all the time because I get to displine her and her dad is always the good guy.
