NO::::::::: Why Because Illegals will start having More babies than a group of Horny Rabbits. That lady in Chicago is attempting to make a precedence that will DESTROY America. If shes allowed to stay because of her kid MILLIONS of LATRINO's will start blowing babies out 10 times faster than the baby boomers ever did. All the While Screaming ANCHORS AWAY. It's really a VERY simple fix. ILLEGAL PARENTS MAKE ILLEGAL BABY Nuff said.

unfortunately for all of you who keep saying that it should only be for legal immigrants, the law that anyone born in the US is a US Citizen comes from the bill of rights, written by our forefathers 200 years ago and upheld in the 1880s by a supreme court case in which a man of chinese parents was born in san francisco, moved to china, then came back and was almost deported... they ruled that because he was born in the US, he was a US citizen and was allowed to remain, the consitution is clear on the law of Jus Soli, where one gains citizenship from birth, regardless of your parents status, as the child is individual from the parent.

Of course, most people who go against this law are xenophobic, they refuse to accept it because most likely, the illegal child will just be another legal hispanic...

They seem to forget that the majority of them come from immigrants who didn't have to deal with the same immigration procedures immigrants today have to undergo. Basically, they walked in and were given citizenship through time amnesities... live here long enough, you get citizenship, that was commonplace back when your ancestors immigrated... so, if you want to remove the jus soli law, then that would technically remove citizenship from more han 70% of current citizens, since if the immigrants weren't legal when their kids were born, then neither is anyone who descended from them

of course, this is a technicality, and if jus soli is abolished, anyone already a citizen will remain one, but it's still xenophobic.

If I wrote the law it would only grant citizenship to children of citizens or of legal residents. Note that that cuts out the tourist visas and the Foreign Baby Tour.

i imagine we ought to continually imagine lengthy and puzzling earlier tinkering with the structure. The ideal court docket hasn't ever right away hung on no matter if the 'citizenship via beginning' area of the 14th modification signifies that citizenship is granted even the position the presence of the newborn's pregnant mom might want to be barred via regulation. even if, i might want to address immigration regulations to assert that the right of 'relations reunification' which substances a citizen the ability to herald relations mutually with father and mom ought to not stick with to all and sundry who did not have a minimum of one unconditional everlasting resident confirm or citizen confirm on the time of their beginning. That avoids the constitutional situation and addresses the 'gaming' with our regulations.

Citizenship ONLY to the parents and their children that have become American citizens!
Being born in the USA dose not or at least should not make you a citizen!
