i was lucky enough to care for a female for 14 years, a very family orientated dog. They do however need to be watched with strangers as the breed can sometimes be aggressive. They were used at Auschwitz during the war as guard dogs.
Lots of exercise, teach them commands as they are a willing learner and get bored easily. stick to one diet (ours was green tripe, no illnesses ever) and only doggy treats. Give them lots of affection and you will have a lovely companion for many years. Dont forget the shots and watch for hip problems.

They are about the same as any dog.
High quality dog food
LOTS of exercise they need a lot of exercise and training.
They have some allergy issues and they recommend that you split up the puppy shots and not give the ones that are combo shots. Give things individually and seperate by a couple of weeks.
I have given combo shots to mine with no problems butthey can have problems sometimes.
They are wonderful dogs and I have owned them for 9 years.

They are pretty much just like any other dog, however they are prone to skin issues, probably due to the very very short fur. Mine has skin irritatations easily and dry skin.I need to use a special shampoo. They also need a lot of exercise and challenge. They have a built in need to run and hunt.
