You could lose weight by eating snicker bars if you wanted...although it isn't recommended. It is great to be on a diet high with fruits and veggies because they are nature's food...naturally sweetened..less caloric than a lot of manufactured foods...vitamins, etc. However, the key to losing weight is to consume (eat) less calories than you burn. So...you just need to figure out how much you burn in an average day based on your weight, height, sex, and physical activity, and then eat less than that number. The further the two numbers are apart from each other (how much you burn a day, and how much you eat) the faster you lose weight. However, to make this gap bigger, you should NOT not eat. That will be bad. Anyway, long story short, if you basically cut about 500 calories a day (I suggest starting a food log and counting to see how many calories you eat on a daily basis) they say that is healthy and will lead to weight loss. Cutting 500 calories a day will lead to weight loss of about a piund a week. 1 pound=3500 calories.

Hi
In order to know how many calories you can burn and your body metabolisim rate its best to go through this link it helped me a lot so here goes,
If you are serious about losing weight, the calories in the food you eat should be less than the energy you use. You will have to increase your metabolic rate now, and plan your diet carefully.
Formulate your own weight loss plan and you will lose weight faster. More details available at http://tinyurl.com/m7ckx
Good luck

This could work for weight lost but it will cause you to have to go to the bathroom and maybe even diarhea. Fruit is good for you but the sugar is still bad for you. I was just thinking about doing the same thing cause i am so turned off by meat it disgust me. I only eat turkey, chicken and fish. Good Luck!

If you go on a diet like this, you're bound to put the weight back on when you start eating normally again. Don't think 'diet', think about choices, and moderation. This will give consistent results. Excersize is necessary too.

Yes, it is one of the healthiest ways you can lose weight. Be sure you are eating enough lean protein too or you will become anemic.
