There are a few reasons for a program does not run under a particular Os.

1st: hardware requirements. You don't have enough memory or CPU speed. If this is your case I'm so sorry to say you have no options.

2nd.Software requirements. Programs are written to a specific Os and software "calls" and "libraries". If your program just run on 16 bit Os (to say something) you can't change that. You must have a 16bit Os or run a virtual machine to simulate the guest Os. You can also use an emulator and try to skip of bypass the game specs.

So... stick with your vendor advice and requirements. If you still have having problems, there is not much to do ... sorry ...

Hope this help,

1. Make sure you still have the program installed on your computer. Easiest way to do that is click start, find the program's icon or name in the start menu.
2. Right click the icon / name.
3. From the shortcut menu that appears, click on properties.
4. Click on the Compatibility tab.
5. Activate the "Run this program in compatibility mode for" check box
6. You will see a list of previous Windows versions. Choose the version you had when the game worked. (If it was really 1993, I'd try Windows 95.)
6. Click OK

Yes you "might" be able to run the program under XP.

Open windows explorer and go to the program folder.. ex. c:/Program Files/Incredible Machine <== not sure of this and find the main program file. Right click on the file and select properties. Then click on the compatibility tab and check the run in compatibility mode for windows 95, set it for 256 colors, and set it for 640x480 mode. It might just work ...

Try running it in an emulator. See the following website for instructions...
