october can be rainy, depend upon the bars you want brit bars, theres green man in chalong full of pompous twats, but does good food, two black sheep in Patong is cool, right near all the girlie bars (bad point but depends why you are going) why would you want to go to british bars if you are going on holiday to thailand? you can go to them in the UK. e-mail me adventure2love@yahoo.com tell us what you are looking for and i will give you some honest answers and the best places to go, to vague your question many places for many different types of people, i haved lived there for 18 years and no problem steering you in the right way

phuket is great
im going in october too, staying in patong
ur place is just outside patong
everything is cheap so ull get a bargain with anything
barter for everything pay at most half of wot the original price is.
dont know y u wood go to phuket and want to drink in a british bar tho, surely spain wood be closer

Kata Noi beach is good, i think it was the best beach, and some of the trips that you can go on. I liked the james bond trip.
If you go to the simon show, just bare in mind they are all blokes.
There is a Tesco there ( honestly! ) so you can get your stuff there. Get plenty of bottled water as you cannot drink the tap water.
I thought Patong was a bit on the seedy side, the girls if they are girls are not shy.
I would hire a car then you can get around and explore, its great, just take your licence with you, because the police will pull you over and fine you. They are corrupt as anything.

British bars ? Bet you want to eat fish n chips also !I know there is an Irish bar in patong , proberbly a Red lion also ?So i am sure you will feel at home, ps dont forget your deck chair and bucket and spade , then it will be just like being in skegness !
