Could be a number of reasons. Did you respect his input? If not then eventually men quit giving it and with communication breakdown the relationship breaks down. Why don't you ask him?

He doesn't know how let you down easy, he is embarassed to talk to you, or the misunderstandings hit him harderthan you thought and he can't look at you the same way anymore.

Hi. I think I know why he stopped talking to you. Perhaps he couldn't understand your language. Or maybe you sent him an e-mail that was spelled so badly he thought you dumped him. Be more careful next time, and use spell check.

I'd need to know more info....but, from the sounds of it, he broke up with you and didn't have the guts to tell you face to face.
