Generally speaking puppies should be fed twice a day. They keep growing until they're about 6 months old, and need extra nutrition for good bone, muscle and organ development. How much the dog should eat at each meal depends entirely on the dog's breed and size. A good way to tell if you're feeding your dog the right amount is to check its rib cage: if you cannot see or feel the dogs' ribs, the dog is eating too much; if you can see the ribs through the dog's skin, the dog is eating too little; but if you can feel but not see the dog's ribs, you got it just right.

Feed this age of puppy 4 times a day, at equal intervals - say breakfast, lunch, tea & bedtime. Feed amount that puppy can deal with - if any is left - pick it up and do NOT leave for him to eat when he likes. Young puppies should not have much exercise, just little play times and NO stair climbing. Suet

Your puppy should be fed at LEAST 3-4 meals a day!!!untill she is about 10months old ,then down to two, then one at 1year of age. You do not say what breed, if any she is? Different breeds, require differing amounts. As a guide,to see she is getting enough, if you know the birth weight of your pup,she should, by the age of 14 weeks ,have doubled it! 7am-5pm is too long for a puppy of 14 weeks to go without food.

I feed my 16 week old puppy 2 times a day at 7am and 7pm. I have since he was 14 weeks. So as long as he doesnt seam hungry or overly fat when hes eaten and hes growing fine you should be ok. You can always check with your vet when he goes in for his Rabies jab at 16 weeks.

I don't know about the amounts, sounds right but you should go by your dog's weight and the recommend amount on the bag. 3X a day is better until the dog is 1 year old, then 2X. Many people do 2X and then 1X, but the more small feedings you can squeeze in, the better for them. I feed my Golden 4X a day, I'll go to 3X at about 4 months, then 2X at 1 year for the rest of his life. Good luck!

It is better if you could feed 3 times a day, but 2 is a must. Follow the weight guild on the back. Judge for your self, if think she is skinny feed more. If you can not feel her ribs then she is over weight and feed her less. Every dog is different and the more exercises your dog has the more calories she will burn.

Feed her 4 times a day (small meals for a small tummy) and remove her water at 8pm to keep her dry at night.

Your on the right track. Puppy chow is the best until it reaches one year. Read the bag for amounts.
