No idea. My three-year-old daughter has febrile seizures (not epilepsy; related only to high body temperatures), and we were NOT given that advice. And it hasn't been a problem. In fact, we haven't had problems with any routine vaccinations.
Cold season, though, is a whole other ballgame...
