If she's young, what are you feeding her? If you're giving her loads of processed foods, sugar and 'E' numbers, that's the most obvious problem and the number 1 problem with most kids, currently. Try feeding her fresh fruit and veg along with fresh meats and fish (ditch the kiddie cr*p like processed fish fingers or chicken nuggets, crisps, chips, and plenty of sweeties-- I wouldn't be able to sleep either if I ate that rubbish.)

Also young kids like consistency and routine. If she doesn't have a regular routine at night, she won't sleep. Anyway, good luck with this.

If she's a baby, maybe she has colic. If so see her doctor and get it treated.

You have not said how old she is, so can't really help you there, as she could be a baby, young child, teenager, or in her 20's, 30's, 40's, 50's. Or the time of the day or night.

But I do know it it feels for babies and small children, i'm still waiting for it too get better.

Personally I'd prefer my kids just to get to sleep ...

Seriously however, sometimes if it is hot is very difficult to nod off... otherwise too much sugar, fizzy drinks, caffeine etc makes them feel awake alert and full of energy so make sure they don't have any junk food snacks after dinner so that they should settle down well for the night. Hope you get her off to sleep soon!

Put her in the room, turn the lights out and leave the room. Trust me, she'll sleep eventually. She can't cry forever.

Perhaps she is a bag of nerves, try cuddling her and singing a lullaby.

Maybe she wants to annoy you because you’re making her go to sleep.
