I forgot to put the chicken out, so I put it (still in its plastic of course) in a sink full of water like I have done before, but for the life of me I can't remember if its suppose to be warm or cool water. Thanks!

Cool water. Warm water could start cooking the meat and also allows bacteria to grow.

Cold water because if u try 2 defrost it in hot it will just make it all nasty.
