Yes dear ask-er, the truth is that no matter how good you try to be; how nice and friendly you treat every body; if even you give all your money to the poor, and you worship God all day long, and if you spend most of your life in doing as such, you will come out with a dirty rag, filthy and not worthy before God to reward you for your work. It is not what you do that makes you go to heaven; its what God did for you that makes you go to heaven. What did God do for you? I don't have to tell you! You know the love of God for you and what He went through to save you from the hand of the devil. You know the price that God paid for you; it was not Gold; it was not silver; it was His own blood. Give glory to Him for what He did for you and don't try to do good by yourself; let him do the good inside you.

"For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast” (Ephesians 2:8-9).

"Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy He saved us, through the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Spirit” (Titus 3:5).

I will throw this out for conjecture. Why try and find the difference, when the similarity between both religions is easier to see?

Religion always teaches we have to do something to be saved...that we are lacking and not complete...that our miracle pill for healing is held in the hand of the religious organization. By submitting to the beliefs of the religious organization, we then will supposedly obtain salvation (of course it is by God, not the religious institution by whose hand we are saved). This is pure bunk!

When one steps back and looks at the common denominator, it is: FEAR. Fear is used to create converts into a religious system that is false. Fear is disguised through its other forms: doubt, worry, guilt and condemnation. All of these that are used against mankind in the name of God to gain converts are man-made and never from God. This is what Jesus spoke against: RELIGION.

The main difference between Christians and Muslims is the their concepts of God. Christians believe in the trinity and that God came down in the form of a man. Muslims believe that God is one, he was not born, he does not have children, and he did not come down in the form of a human because that would take away his unique Godly attributes.

NO , Islam doesnt say we can be saved by deeds alone.
Islam sais those will be saved that they submit to
God`s will, and God will for us is to worship him with no partners
and obey his commands. ok and it is a part of his commands that we should do good deeds and be just upon others
so doing good deeds is a part of submission not all of it.
his commands are the ones that he sent with his last prophet ,prophet Mohammad.
and all the prophets before him ,including jesus , moses, abraham ,....... had the same message originally. that to worship one God without any partners and...... .

It is not as simple as that. Islam is a documented and preserved religion in comparison to Christianity. Also Islam is evidence-based while Christianity is a blind faith religion, among many other important differences.

God can forgive everything, except that you worship others with him. so he cannot forgive the christians who worship jesus.
What about the followers of all the Prophets before Jesus, what did they believe....i think you will find not your nonsense. Even the followers of jesus didnt believe the nonsense that the christian church has created.

I think your close. Islam is based on works,(what one has to do to gain Gods approval). Christianity teaches God did the works for man because we were not capable of doing it ourselves.

No

You cannot summarize the difference in two sentences. It is much more complex than that!

no thats not true.

muslims are saved by the mercy of Allah

once a companion asked prophet muhammad pbuh , that even you ???

he said even me.

no one will be saved unless God showers his mercy .

secondly,

the criteria for salvation in islam is faith and work.

Neither one can stand alone. and the deciding factor will be the mercy of Allah swt. and bible also agrees with this in epistle of James chapter 2 verse 26.

BIBLE - JAMES 2:26 For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.

----------

the salvation only through faith is taught by paul not jesus. paul said
No actual work is required. No one has to work for their salvation
Romans 3:28 Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law.

Jesus pbuh taught contrary to Christians belief in

Jesus said, "Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven; but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven." For I say unto you, That except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven." [Mathew 5:18-20]

Mathew 5:20 For I say unto you, That except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven.

MATHEW 16:27 For the Son of man shall come in the glory of his Father with his angels; and then he shall reward every man according to his works.

[Mathew 19:16-17]
"And behold, one came and said unto him, ‘Good Master, what good thing shall I do, that I may have eternal life?’And he said unto him, ‘Why callest thou me good? There is none good but one, that is, God: but if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments.’

Jesus (pbuh) did not say that to have the eternal life of paradise, man should believe that Jesus (pbuh) would die for his sins.On the contrary he said that the path to salvation was through keeping the commandments.
It is indeed striking to note the difference between the words of Jesus Christ (pbuh) and the Christian dogma of salvation through the sacrifice of Jesus (pbuh).

The verse continues,

[Mathew 19:18] He (Jesus) saith unto him, Which? Jesus said, Thou shalt do no murder, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness,

[Mathew 19:19]Honour thy father and thy mother: and, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.

[Mathew 19:20] The young man saith unto him, All these things have I kept from my youth up: what lack I yet?

[Mathew 19:21] Jesus said unto him, If thou wilt be perfect, go and sell that thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come and follow me.

ALL THESE TEACHINGS OF JESUS PBUH ARE THE TEACHINGS OF ISLAM.

Ecclesiastes 12:13 Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.

Fearing God and follow His commandments are the exact teachings of Islam

this is the Book, no doubt in it, a guidance to the godfearing, (QURAN 2:2)
"O ye who believe! Obey Allah, and obey the Messenger......" (QURAN 4:59)

Philippians 2:12 "........ work out your own salvation with fear and trembling. "

Some Christians say that i know "i am saved". but what if a christian who knows that he is saved and then commit suicide. will he go to paradise of hell.

SALVATION IN ISLAM

Quran 103: 1-3 "By (the Token of) Time (through the ages), Verily Man is in loss, Except such as have Faith, and do righteous deeds, and (join together) in the mutual teaching of Truth, and of Patience and Constancy.

According to Quran, faith in Allah, His messengers and Hereafter ,together with good deeds and exhorting others to Truth and to Patience is necessary. These are conditions under normal circumstances. Above these all, the deciding factor will be the mercy of ALLAH. and Allah is the Most Merciful. If Allah wants to forgive someone, its His wish. It is very clear in Quran that Allah will not forgive one sin, i.e. Associating partners with Him. He can forgive other sins if He wishes to whom He pleases.

“Then those whose balance (of good deeds) is heavy,- they will attain salvation: But those whose balance is light, will be those who have lost their souls, in Hell will they abide”. (Quran 23:102-103)

Quran 4:147. What can Allah gain by your punishment, if ye are grateful and ye believe? Nay, it is Allah that recogniseth (all good), and knoweth all things.

We have to do good deeds and ask God's forgiveness and good reward in Hereafter.

Prophet Muhammad a.s. said.

Narrated By 'Ubada: The Prophet said, "If anyone TESTIFIES THAT NONE HAS THE RIGHT TO BE WORSHIPPED BUT Allah Alone Who has no partners, and that Muhammad is His Slave and His Apostle, and that Jesus is Allah's Slave and His Apostle and His Word which He bestowed on Mary and a Spirit created by Him, and that Paradise is true, and Hell is true, Allah will admit him: into Paradise with the deeds which he had done even if those deeds were few." (Junada, the sub-narrator said, " 'Ubada added, 'Such a person can enter Paradise through any of its eight gates he likes.") Vol 4, Book 55. Prophets.Hadith 644. (Shahi Bukhari)
