My sister is a virgin & lets just say she's not use to western society just yet. She's still one(virgin) bcoz she lives in conservative Asian society where conservatism is incourage & being a hoe is degrading.
She's currently studying in the states & I wanna ask advice on how she could deal w/ ppl like room mates who wanna talk about sex. Or guys whom she might date on the future & starts asking for sex?
PS. Don't advice me w/ removing it ASAP!!!

All I have to say is that I remained a virgin until I got married. I got married at 24 years old and to tell you the truth.. .being raised and living in this society didn't corrupt my way of thinking. I am not Asian, but I AM Catholic, so you can say I am conservative or old fashioned in a way. As for her roommates talking about sex, let them, she has to deal with that. Tell her to not be ashamed of being a virgin, it's rare and she is all that much special for it. About guys she might date, she should be straight with them, tell them right off the bat how she is and how she feels.. if they don't support her, then they're not worth it.

It will be hard for her to avoid these situations so she should just leave the room without saying a word. After a while her friends will know she doesn't enjoy this type of chatter.
She should be very selective with who she dates. Saying no to sex before marriage is very honorable and she should be proud that she has high self esteem and respects her own body.
If a man is willing to wait for sex than it shows he truley loves her and does not want her for one thing. These type of men would make excellent husbands.

Just keep reinforcing those values in her. Keep telling her that what she is doing is right and that even though it's a social norm to try it before you buy it now a days.This way of thinking and acting causes alot of troubles down the line.Such as STDs, becoming a single mother,etc...The best way to over come bad advice or peer pressure.Is to give her good advice and to challenge her to hold on to something that she holds dear even though it maybe hard at times.

I'm 19 years old and still a virgin. Well all my friends that are very sexually active talk about it..i just ignore them or just nod my head. I sometimes listen to get advice..but other then that i try not to get in on those conversations..they know my decision about being a virgin till marriage. They respect that. Tell your friend to be upfront with friends and roommates about her decision. If they true friends etc..they will respect that. Just tell her to be strong! Good Luck!

Well when people that start talking about sex, I would suggest that she either ignore, ask to change subject, or just leave. But when she's dating someone who wants to have sex with her, I think she should tell him that she's saving herself for that special someone. If he or she don't like it, I think she should dump him or her and leave. If he or she's okay with it, continue dating. But if she's around people who wants to have sex with her, I think she should be careful. Because some people might rape her.. Good Luck with your problem!!

Tell her to be proud and maintain the cultural values that she grew up with—until she finds a time when she feels within her self that an intimate relationship is appropriate.

if she is up front with people they may tease her but really they en vie her so she needs to just keep her dignity and hold her head up high until she is ready for that special someone,she will know in her heart when it is time even if that means marrying first!
