Probably meat and veggies. My brother is lactose intolerant so I know you even have to be careful of some breads as they contain milk or whey proteins. But there are some good recipes for milk-free cakes. Like a short cake with some fruit would be a great dessert. You just have to read the labels and you'll figure out other things to add into the diet. Good luck!

GREAT question. I'm also in that fun group.
Oddly enough, we CAN have yogurt! Go figure...
Found some great tablets at GNC for lactose intolerance that you take just before eating something with dairy in it and they really have helped. Now I can eat ice cream and it doesn't "kill" me. It's the "house brand" of lactose digestant--ask the salesperson about it. They aren't as expensive as the "nationally advertised" brand, either, which helps.
Good luck!
All will be well.

Really, any recipe that you find or that you like that contains milk can be adjusted because of your allergy. Instead of using milk, use Lactaid milk, because it has been modified especially for lactose intolerant people. If you can't find Lactaid milk, using soy milk or rice milk would also be an acceptable substitute.

Why don't you grill some meat:chicken, beef, pork or fish on your grill, along with potatoes, peppers and onions too. Serve all of this on brown jasmine or white rice. You can make all kinds of pasta dishes with different tomato base sauces with satueed hot italian sausage or chicken. Also, how about some vegetable beef soup, pea soup, lentil soup,Chicken soup, or red clam chowder.Salads are another choice with:spinach, romaine ,iceburg and tomatoes, cucumbers, red onions, radishes, peppers, and shredded carrots.
Make a big pot roast or homemade beef stew with potaroes, carrots ,onions and peas. You can have those with rice or noodles.I am trying, and i hope something I listed sounds good.
