Because of lack of wisdom, many times people have been through problems in relationships, due to jealousy, especially young people and less evolved people, haven't truly experienced life enough to know that beauty is really in the eye of the beholder, most of all, in order to find real beauty we must carry it within us, sure we all must make every effort to look good and feel good, but when it comes down to it, it's really all about how a person feels on the inside. (That's what we portray) a radiant personality goes a long way.
If you feel good you'll show it when you are around others, and it is very noticeable, when people are insecure, it's one of the worst things because people doubt or may question if you are trustworthy, being insecure doesn't help anyone, it's unatractive. It is important to learn this early on.
I personally have had many relationships with men, some were very good looking and some weren't, there was so much variety of things, some of the ones that were very good looking were awfully insecure & wasn't able to trust them because of a lot of baggage, and some were just too confident (the wrong way) and very coaky and couldn't deal with that, some of the other ones, not so good looking, had other wonderful traits, and then there were some that were not good looking but were really conceided and so hard to please as well as insecure and weird, so go figure!
All in all, anyone would avoid people that are difficult, or with a difficult personality, hard to take, and deal with, wheather they were attractive or not. I've dealt with it all and the most attractive thing is being able to love someone without so many complications, that's attractive.

Seems like peer and present glamourous desires overtake the rational and spirit place in this world. We all love an illusion that gives a lazy and pleasurable take on life. We dont want to develop our character and want to be envied by everyone yet admired and unharmed. Is that good enough?

Society has conditioned us into believing that it is okay to judge by external appearance and take the easy way out, rather than taking the time to get to know people on an individual basis and judge them for who they are inside.
And let's face it, it's all about money. The looks game is comprised of many industries unto themselves who make billions upon billions of dollars off of peoples' insecurities.
The cosmetics, fitness, cosmetic surgery, beauty salons, hair, magazines devoted to these things, plus the media all make huge profits from peoples' insecurities about themselves.

unfortunately, because most people are judging. It's just apart of human nature to judge looks. I'm not saying that it's a good thing, but it's just the truth.

Human beings are very visual creatures. Something like 70% of our perception of the world is through sight. Hard to rely on our other senses, when you see something and tend to naturally register certain things almost instantly.

b/c we live in a superficial world where Nicole Richie's skinnyness is acceptable and Paris Hilton's stupidity is too... As long as they look good! Right? It's pathetic...and very sad..

Because we are bombarded with the "ideal" of beauty constantly in the media. Sadly, it has become a sick preoccupation of our entire culture.
