Would it depend on the type of crime?

I would first ask my family member why he/she has done it and try to talk him or her to turn himself/herself in. If he/she doesn't I would turn them in. Why, I think if somebody else would do the crime they did to me, I would like to know that they would be punished for the crime and hope they will get some help or learn from it. Also maybe I also hope they will feel regret and won't do that to somebody else.

It would depend on the crime committed. Some things really can be handled in the home before the authorities need to get involved.

As a civilian it would depend on the type of crime if I become an officer though I would turn them in

It would absolutely depend on the crime. My stepdad smoked pot and even grew it at times. His addiction wasn't destructive to the family and my mother loved him very much. I wouldn't turn any family member in over a victimless crime.

yes, it would definitely depend on the type of crime. if the person is a danger to other people, definitely turn them in. if not, just let them know how you feel and tell them that what they did was wrong.

I believe it would depend upon the type of crime. If it was really 'no big deal, perhaps I wouldn't.
