my dad is a drunk he is already in classes for it but itdoesnt work and he is an *** hole whate should i do

If you are in school, I would suggest that you see your counselor - he or she can refer you to Teen Al-Anon, which is a support group for children of alcoholics. The group will be able to give you ideas for coping skills and self-esteem boosters for you -

Move. You can always get a medical card. Some states provide for children under 19. Check out your state and see what they can offer. Your mother can contact the displaced Homemakers.
If you live in Kentucky there's K-chip to help with health care.

Many times when people drink .. itis to cover up someting deeper... who can you talk with about it....who is your support ..brother, sister, or mother.... go to them first if you can, but do you have a friend that has parents that can talk and walk you through this... a real person, because that is what you need... let me ask this....do you pray for your Dad... God is able to touch not only the stuff that hurts you when he is drunk, but can touch the hurting place that is covered by the drink to numb what he doesn't want to face.

Be there for your Mom. She will need your help. Your Dad has a serious problem. Call a local support group or church for counseling for you and your Mom. Your Dad has to admit his drinking problem. Do an Intervention. Call the police after he drinks and drives off... Get him to realize the danger. He's putting you through misery and he's being selfish!

perhaps my answer might be if you were old enough to move out but probably not so I guess you are kind of stuck.
Tell him that life is short and that you love him very much and his problem with alcohol is tearing your relationship apart. Give him a hug and say Dad I really need you to stop drinking and support me in my efforts to support you I LOVE YOU! If that does not work I am sorry!

I grew up with an alcoholic family. You can try an intervention, i heard that sometimes works.
Sometimes it takes them losing everything and hitting rock bottom before they make and changes and seek real help.
I think supporting him is good, but you also have to look at what's best for you and your mother.
Maybe leaving him is what will make the difference.

Break hes leg. If you have broken bone You can't drink.
Works for my friend.
The worse in your situation is not much to do - you are his doughtier and if he is drank you better stay away of him.
But for sure he has to go to AAA as offend as possible.
Other ther is some medicine by doctor if you take it you drink you get very sick - it can help..
Preying doesn't help - I had alcoholic in my family /he quit whet he
got cancer and died/. I wish you the best and your father.

U should see if U can sign him up for a rehabilitaion program in your area that will keep him or that he can be mandated too until he had decided to make the right decisions and get his life back on track.

Well.. it is a serious matter..
i would suggest you, if he ask for any acohol from you (if u have in house) then instead of that give him grape juice.. it will tast like littel alcohol. Also, there are non-acoholic products in market like non alcoholic wine, congnac, beer etc. I work in liquor store and i sell this stuff if any one needs help drinking. Also, get help frm ur dad's frnds. Sometimes they also come forward to help their dear one's. Good Luck!!!
