If you live in a city, call information and get the number for NA (Narcotics Anonymous). Go to at least two meetings a week for 6 weeks before you decide if it will help you or not.
Diet Coke has caffeine in it, and too much of it will make you jittery, which will make you want to smoke. Although pot is not physically addicting, it certainly is psychologically compelling. Getting together with others in the same boat--trying to quit--who have a plan of action is probably going to help you more than you can imagine.
My 15-year-old son needed a heart transplant, but could not even be put on the list until he quit smoking pot. He didn't (couldn't) quit. He died. So don't tell yourself that it's no big deal or that you should be able to do it alone. But, as an alcoholic who hasn't had a drink (or a joint) in almost 30 years, I can promise you that it just gets easier to do without your drug of choice with time.

Who in the world gave an 11 year old child Pot? I've never heard of Diet Coke and Orbit gum helping but if it is KEEP on doing it. You have got to stop. It can RUIN you, it can RUIN your chances to have children, it can KILL you (in numerous ways) and it can make you an idiot...STOP!!!! Get professional help if nothing else...

if you're trying to quit, find something to do with your time that you enjoy.. 1st signs of withdrawal are irritability.. be patient & take each day a step at a time. it gets easier once youve made it a month... ive smoked since i was 12, 44 now & still an occasional user. i dont think pot is bad for you, however anything you smoke is harmful for your health, its the carbonmonoxide..
there are many benefits from pot, but smoking isnt one of them.
also the crowd you hang with can be an influence, try getting in touch with yourself. you dont have to dump your friends but a lil alone time to do some soul searching may help you build your confidence

Its natural but sometimes one must control his or herself. No coke won't do anything. Try to do everything with logic and reason. NOT what your feelings say or circumstances. Create opportunities for yourself in life. Make short and long term goals for yourself. Go one step at a time. Have patience.
Many people write down things they have to do so they don't forget, this is also a good method.

I congratulate you for reaching out & asking for advice..this means you actually want a new you. Eventhough the method you are using is not the best..ok..let's face it..is not doing much..but you are doing SOMETHING to change your habits and that's a good thing. Kudos for you!!! You have the #1 thing you need to start fresh..and that's the willingness to do so. You got to take it day by day..and if you think you cant do it on your own, ask your doctor to recomend a clinic or group..to get the little extra push you need to come clean.

hi i am a nurse maybe because your addicted that might explain it, and no diet coke won't help you get off the drugs you need something called common sense and will power to do that, which you clearly haven't as you wouldn't of started
