my question was ,how many times has a smaller islamic army defeated a larger non muslim army?not one of you mentioned the most storied battle in islamic history hands down.the battle of badr saw the muslims face a pagan army of 3000+ while they soundly defeated them with only 300.. yes 300 fighters.here is a verse from the Quran about it..and it was said to them[the prophet and his companions]there has amassed a great army to fight you so fear them,but it only increased them in faith and they said enough is Allah as a disposer of our affairs.this is the reason why the iraq,afghanistan,the new middle east..campaigns are doomed.increasingly the americans can not connect this to their reasoning and understanding.

(1) The ratio was 300 to approximately 1000. The losing force lost no more than 10-15% killed or captured - hardly a smashing tactical victory, since the numerically superior force chose to broke contact. It was a great moral and strategic victory - not, however, the outstanding tactical ***-whipping you erroneously state it as being.
(2) No Muslim army afterwards fought successfully outnumbered and won on any campaign, even during insurgencies such as Algeria. Muslim armies have been repeatedly beaten on anything approximating equal footing, or even with gross numerical superiority - witness the Reconquista, or the wars against Israel. Indians have beaten Pakistanis, Israelis have beaten Arabs, the Spanish have beaten Moors, the Americans have beaten Iraqis and Afghans. I won't even mention the colonial era.
(3) The Battle of Badr is ONE single example where a lopsided force ratio resulted in the outcome you gloat over. Should you be challenged to name further battles with the same criteria, I hardly think you'd be able to name them. After all, the greatest military power Islam ever had was Ottoman Turkey. The greatest general ever fielded by a Muslim army was Saladin - a Kurd. While Arabs have produced great scholars and beautiful architecture, they produce military genius in short supply.
It is clear you cannot connect any of this to a rational "reasoning and understanding" that enables you to see where the weaknesses of the Muslim world are in military affairs, and how best they can be remedied. Instead, you prefer to just throw faith-based proclamations as a substitute to scholarship.

Although by known accounts the Battle of Badr may have prove to be an important victory for the forces of Muhammad. It was by now means an absolute wander of bravery and chivalry. Muhammad and his forces numbered between 305 – 350 attacked by surprise, an armed caravan headed for Mecca, for the purpose of ghazawat (an armed incursion for the purposes of conquest, plunder, or the capture of slaves). Muhammad was surprised when he met a much larger defense of 900 – 1000 in strength (note: no known account by any side Muslim or other place the numbers higher then 1000) .
The brilliance of Muhammad’s tactics and his well-disciplined man are what turned the skirmish. After all, there blood sucked hands, after the killing of so many innocents, should have held against a defensive force of 900.
The results of this battle where 14 killed in Muhammad’s camp and 50-70 killed and 43 – 70 captured from the command of Amr ibn Hisham. The major discrepancies between the casualty totals on each side suggests that the fighting was extremely brief and that most of the Mecca's were killed during the retreat.
As to your quote and opinion; I must incline to disagree. The reason the American campaigns are losing ground in Iraq is the media. If America had done in Iraq what they had done in Japan with General Douglas MacArthur, we wouldn’t be having this conversation. Why does Israel has the strongest army on that peninsula and surrounded by Islamic states. We all know Islam is spreaded by force. For years, Israel had it's hand tied behind it's back. Aside from any military action between anyone, how can anyone kill people in the name of Jihad or Allah or the Quran? I cannot believe that God ever intended for anyone to kill anyone else in his name. I'm sure that many will be in for quite a surprise when they die and judgement is placed upon them for their actions.
The real reason for the violence has nothing to do with religion. Religion is used as a tool to justify the violence and destruction by ignorant, uneducated and unintelligent people. A violent people to say the least. A race of people that have little value for life itself.
As you so state with your focus on violence, you reinforce the low opinion that many have towards you and your kind....

In 1967 five Arab armies massed on Israel's border, ready to advance simultaneously and kill every jew in Palestine. Hundreds of thousands armed to the teeth against Israel's small army...what happened? Gee...hmmmm...I wonder. Well first the Israelis destroyed the entire Egyptian Air Force on the ground, then they attacked in 5 different directions and totally humiliated all those so called muslim warriors.
