I see lots of questions to the tune of "Why are non-believers in this forum?" I'm a little confused as to what Christians mean when they call someone a non-believer.

Do you simply mean they arn't Christians? So that, for example, a Jew or a Wiccan or a Buddhist is a non-believer to you? If that is so, why do you think that Christianity is the only religion that should be in this section?

Or is a non-believer someone who dosn't believe in any god, like an Athiest or an Agnostic (like me)? Do you think that, just because someone dosn't believe in something, they can't be intrested in it? We don't believe in the greek gods anymore, but many people study their mythology. I agree that the people who come here just to harrass others are annoying and should be ignored, but there are many Athiests and Agnostics who just want a little friendly debate, might like to learn something, and have some genuine questions. I know that's why I'm here.

What do you think? "Non-believers" can answer too.

Dear [Girl Wonder],

A non-believer does not believe in Jesus Christ as Lord.

An athiest doesn't believe in God...

And an agnostic is just, confussed, don't care, or don't want to choose to believe in either.

Christians are harrassed everyday here, I think Christianity is the most made fun of, and the center of hate from many users that are just ignorant.

It has been said that your enemies will believe in every bad thing said about you, even if it's true or not...

This same phrase applies to the hatred of President Bush.... and also to the hatred of Christians.

CHristianity is but one religion... this is a religion section, any religion is welcome here, though we may disagree with everything down to the core of a different belief system, such as Satanism....

We are here to witness to the uninformed world about what Christianity is, who Jesus is, and the truth about us.

If you don't want to listen, you don't have too.

But I have become tired of all of these anti Christian questions and answers, many of the things said are completely false about us...

And I think that what your realy asking us is why are Christians so holyer than thou, as to think that this place is just for them... am I right? I may be mistaken, so forgive me if I am wrong... and if anyone else believes that of us, they are wrong...

I am not here expecting a bunch of other Christians... I am here to tell you about Jesus and my belief in Him, I am Not a religious hypocrite, ignorant ape, that is so self rightious and stuffed up about himself, as many of you believe...

No, Jesus hated the character of those kind of people, the self rightious ones... Jesus was humble....

And I being a Christian must be Christ-like.... maybe then the world will see the love of God...

God bless you and yours

a Christian

Non Believers Mean Those Who Do Not acknowledge Him As The Only Son Of God And The Only Way To Salvation.
But That Is The Universal Truth

You are an intelligent beautiful person. Why are you choosing to use your gifts of insight to focus on the negative? Sure there are stupid questions here. There are stupid answers also. But you and I know you are capable of much more. Rise above it. Resist the temptation to get bogged down by the narrow minded on BOTH sides. There is truth everywhere if you seek it. Find the truth and cherish it. Muslims, Christians, Wiccans, Pagans, all have truths to offer. Only the fool accepts truth based solely on where it comes from and rejects all other truth. You will find many from all walks that do just that. Arguing, fighting, debating with them is pointless. I speak to you only because I have recognized a light of truth in many of your questions and answers. A truth not based solely on what one group has told you to believe. Your open mind and quest for justice has brought you far, but be careful. Lately, it seems to me your questions have become increasingly hostile and closed to the possibility of growth. You are drawing a crowd around you that will praise you and it will feel good. But the price of this vanity will be the loss of your journey. I urge you to pause and look for the doors that are open around you. I am confident that a higher level of understanding is beckoning you. There are forces at work to hold you back. Slip loose the bonds of hatered and the chains of stupidity that so many around us choose to wear. I have been following your journey here with interest. I believe you are far wiser than you are letting us know. Do not be afraid to be brilliant. Shine. You might read my comment to you in your question about reading the bible with an open mind. The answer I gave to that question may not interest you, and that is fine, but read the comment I made concerning the best answer you chose. That is the point I am trying to make here. Life is short. Don't spend too much of it in negativity towards anyone even if you feel justified in doing so. Be careful what you hate. Hate it long enough and you will find that you have become that thing you hate.

You have two questions there. First, when we call some one a non-believer, yes, usually it means they don't believe in God. Anyone who believes in something, no matter what it is ( it doesn't have to be Christianity) and refers to someone that doesnt believe in the same things calls them a non-believer. Second, anyone can be interested in anything. There are a lot of people on here that don't believe in God, that want to debate or discuss different views. And thats great everyone loves a good debate, thats what most of us are here for. You are also right the ones that are just wanting to annoy should be annoyed, no one answer them and they will (hopefully) leave. I wish someone could get them off of the R/S sight for good unless they are gonna behave.

It is only the fundamentalist Christians that are bothered by other faiths. They feel that anyone who doesn't believe like they do are non-believers and shouldn't be on here. I am an agnostic too and I try to understand all religions. It is interesting to see what people have to say. Many are afraid, ignorant (they are in their own cocoon) and intolerant of other religions and faiths. I shouldn't point my finger only at Christians because I have seen some of the others in here doing the same thing but, by far, it is the Christians who think this section is only for them.

the church we see at present are by skill of in great considered as splinter team like branches from a undemanding framework of ideals, a undemanding interpretation and consider of the bible, that's the commencing place for those ideals and international view. whilst variations upward thrust up, and the two events with fervor cite the authoritative scriptures as their foundation, then the two events comply with disagree and section techniques and a sparkling church is born. the variations could be over something, it somewhat is function of the keenness at the back of it that determines the chop up. A non denominational church is a church that became into shaped and has no roots, with an present classic framework of ideals. it somewhat is a gestalt of ideals from various denominations, some baptist, some reformed, some charismatics. The church could have a definite concentration based on the founding pastor history, which contain baptist, reformed or charismatic. yet another term for non-denomination is 'Bible Church' Peace

I have never seen anyone say this is a Christian forum. This is about the most Unholy site I have seen.

You call anyone any man made name you want to. OK? Bottom line is this. According to God Jehovah, there are 2 types of people. Believer & unbeliever. Saved or Lost.

Now. Man dreamed up this notion that there are Atheists, Agnostics, unbeliever's, wicca, buddah...whatever.......

Now, It doesn't matter what name you call yourself, You won't have individual rooms and living quarters. I read in the bible, you will all carpool in a 1 room Bungalow, central heat and NO air. Period.
If you choose to believe any, all, or none of this, thats up to you. My opinion? Yes. God, has His opinion.

This sick demented theory that God is everyone's God of any kind of worship is about as sick as it gets. You call yourself the Queen of the Living beautiful Angels of unbeliving nonatheistic surviors, if this floats your boat. Your going to be in the SAME 1 room as all others.

Now. Why do I say this? If there is any other God, than the God of the Holy Bible, Then you and all others can have this socalled god. I will spit in his face and go where ever. You can have this god and all of your buddies.
Atheists are not on here to learn anything. You don't learn when you shoot your mouth off with blasephmous statements. These "people" that are "searching" for truth? They are playing politics. They agree and side with the majority. They can't handle insults, they have no backbone, it is easier to go with the flow than be made fun of. Every person and every kid wants to be on a winning team. A winner is by popluar vote to them.
Now. You call yourself any name you choose. You worship any god or broomstick or whatever your heart desires. If you do anything other than accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, You loose and will be with your buddies forever. You won't be alone.

Bottom line is this:

Either I'm Right and your wrong.
or
Your Right and I'm wrong.
or
WE are both wrong.

because.. WE BOTH CAN'T BE RIGHT.

IT'S JUST THAT SIMPLE.

.You may not "agree" with what I said.....

but

You will REMEMBER what I said. For a reason.

.

Non-believer Definition: Someone who does not believe that Jesus Christ died for his/her sins.

The reason we do not consider other faiths to be believers is because of what the Bible tells us. It has nothing to do with personal prejudices against anyone. In the Old testament God got very angry at the Israelites anytime they bowed down to other gods. So we do not have the privilege of deciding whether someone is a believer or not.

The first of the ten commandments, take from Exodous 20:3, tells us this:
3 You shall have no other gods before [a] me.

And here is an example of what happened when they did bow down and whorship, take from 2 Kings 17:7-13:

7 All this took place because the Israelites had sinned against the LORD their God, who had brought them up out of Egypt from under the power of Pharaoh king of Egypt. They worshiped other gods 8 and followed the practices of the nations the LORD had driven out before them, as well as the practices that the kings of Israel had introduced. 9 The Israelites secretly did things against the LORD their God that were not right. From watchtower to fortified city they built themselves high places in all their towns. 10 They set up sacred stones and Asherah poles on every high hill and under every spreading tree. 11 At every high place they burned incense, as the nations whom the LORD had driven out before them had done. They did wicked things that provoked the LORD to anger. 12 They worshiped idols, though the LORD had said, "You shall not do this." [b] 13

It means anyone who doesn't believe in Jesus. But when it comes to this forum, it means anyone who doesn't believe in any god. People usually post the question about why they come in here is when they bash anyone and everyone for believing in something. I'm a Christian and I always love knowing someone else's side of things, unless they are bashing me and my side. Have a good one!

Thank U ALL for your Anwers-I hope U find your heaven-I C mine slipping away-She was Earth &Beautiful? Y CHRIST?
Why did Jezus have to tell you through John in Revelations that Judgement day would come? Why did he have to tell you that The World would be undone? Why did he leave the BOOK of Life unfilled with the truth about our mother-Earth! I do not know of a far greater show-which rides in this universe upon times journey of light-twas easy to call so many things true-especially for men that lived and were in awe by flight-Angels had wings and these men couldn't soar so they dreamed of gods that could make them more-and in doing so they placed hope faith and love-into a place out of this world-in one they dreamed for above-with golden roads and castles and one being upon a thrown-for to all that beliveth in him was mercy shown-and to these ends they would work hard each and every day-knowing that forgiveness would be a better way-but then it happened and they were quite caught off guard-they began to see the violence of a Mother that they did discard-4 she was SECOND TO THEIR GOD-only now her heart now melts*
