Some people honestly believe he exists, others just use religion and the idea of god as a crutch to help them through difficult times of the lives.

Faith. People need someone to believe in, to rely on because our world is filled with impermenance. It gives people hope even when there doesn't seem to be anything else left.
And also because a person might've been brought up with certain beliefs. It's hard to undo what your parents put into you when you were young.
It's also an explanation for things that are otherwise unexplained. Like creation (even though there are other theories).

Because there had to be some force, some power who created the world, us people, and the devil..You wonder how Adam and Eve got onto this planet . Yes they were the first humans but how were they created? Without mothers or fathers. How is this universe existing without a creator? It can't because there is nothing as powerful as god. Nothing as big as god. And nothing more merciful than god.

Because it is easier to believe in God as the First Cause and Eternal, than to believe in the scientific explanation that from nothing something came to be.

Because he is the Almighty Lord that created us all. He created the Heavens and the Earth and everything in and on the Earth. He is our Savior, the one true God. Because he loves us unconditionally, all of us. No matter what. Because he is.

Largely because their parents did. The vast majority of people in the world get their religious beliefs from their parents and other close relatives. There are social advantages to taking on a religion that is popular in your family and social circles as well.

Because people need something to believe in, otherwise the world wouldn't make very much sense. Not that it does anyway.

It's not just a belief for me. I just know. Whenever I start to deny his existence, I feel a pull/force letting me know that he is there. I can't really explain it, but I listen to it with all my heart.
