Wow, good for you that life is great. Personally my life has been hard as hell, and though I have had lots of great times, I have had enough sorrow to keep me from saying life is GREAT.
I wish the religion thing did work for me, most people do need help to get them through. I believe you are in the minority with your great life, lucky you.
Also when there is so much suffering in the world, it is hard for me to say that life is great, even on a good day for me. If your life is great then share your bounty and do something for someone else besides judge them for being sad.
As for the meaning of life, sometimes when everything you were told and believed in turns out to be untrue, you look for what is true.
I am glad you are so happy, but I am guessing you lack compassion for others who are not as fortunate as you.

I think to be aware of why things are and how they came about helps you to understand why you or anyone else is here and understand life in general. You should at least want to know the meaning of YOUR life. Think about it....life with no meaning means theres no meaning for life. What would you live for?
Besides, life ISNT always great. And its at these times especially that you will need religion and truth.
You asked why bother? Your knowledge on these things have a major impact on how far you go in life.......so why not?

That's like saying, "we breathe oxygen," and NEVER being interested "WHY?"
PS the "true religion or church" doesn't mix in politics, other religions, call people names or go to war, doesn't hate for being "different" but celebrates it, it believes that LOVE CONQUERS ALL, and that by judging others you judge yourself. So, while 99% of religions get the attention, this one small one is hated for who they are, and yet people still wonder "why there isn't the "truth" out there?"
So, even tho you "wish things were better" you yourself wouldn't listen (most likely) if it came to you and asked for a moment of your time.

Life IS great.
Reducing it to superstitions and vague abstract stuff denigrates life.
And the notion that the meaning of life must involve religion or religious beliefs is simply unfounded. People love to say it, and expect to not be challenged on it, but as far as I can see, cannot defend it at all.

Good Question! I'm especially sick of those "Is there any physical proof of GOD?" questions. Try to be positive and creative, show love. being spiteful of any religion because of Zealots and fundamentalists is also annoying to see every where you go today. There is nothing wrong with religion, but with anything self preservation is key, so they try to push their religion on others, and try to convert people.I wish those people would just GIVE IT UP, way too many people have died because they gave the "wrong" answer to the "god" question. There is no wrong answer. Just try to treat people decently, LIVE AND LET LIVE!

Seems simple but apparently very hard to accomplish
You are right but at the same time it is nice to believe and feel that there is more out there, it provides a wider context to your life

Sometimes i have no time to believe in things other than whats going on in the world i live in.
Lots of people find the time,
I'd rather go fishing and pray for some fish,.
