I'm in the Air National guard and was prior service AD Air Force (12yrs) I was wondering since I have a long tech school (14 weeks) if I'd get BAH and BAS, I know I'll get family sep (married with 2 boys). Just a thought. Someone told me I would but that seems a little strange.

Yes, if you entitled to recieve BAH and BAS. The BAH rate will be a little lower that the active duty rate, Type 1 vs type 2 or somthing like that.

You may also be entitled to tdy benefits.

Yes you do...I re-classed into a year long school and I actually lived on my BAH and BHS. My regular duty checks was saved up untouched in my bank account...

BAH..yes. BAS..maybe not. depends on what messing facilities are available for you, and if they expect you to eat all three meals via them as opposed to scrounging on your own. BAH will based on the zip code of where your family resides.

you will not get the bah because your family isn't being uprooted while you're away.
