i'm never hungry ever since i started to wean off of the drug risperdal. i don't eat until like 3 in the afternoon and even then in only eat because i have to go to work and i want the energy. then i have to force myself to eat for the rest of the day. and when i do eat it's not healthy, it's like whatever i can grab. pizza, chips, burgers, burritos, etc. i kind of like it because i never lost my baby weight so i am hoping this may help. but at the same time i know it is not healthy and i would like to eat more meals with my litttle son. but lately the only reason i have been eating is for my son's sake or because my sisters make me dinner. help?

First of all...don't worry too much...stress can make things get worse. Have you seen a specialist? ...if you haven't that's the first thing you should do.
I believe the human body knows what it needs...if your body doesn't ask you for food...then you shouldn't give it to it...it actually can make you feel less hungry therefore you would eat less. So don't push yourself into eating too much.
You already know that your choices of food are not the great ones....well...start eating healthy...which doesn't mean you are going to deprave from treats...If you want to set a good example for your son....that's the best way of doing it...go to the groceries store and buy healthy food...and healthy snacks as well.
I am sure inside of you...you know whats the best for you...so again..don't stress too much!...just give your body time to get rid of the toxins from that drug you have been taking...little by little it will get hungry again :) Ohh by the way...drink lots of fluids...
Wish you the best

stick to a plan
eat breakfast for sure, grab a donut or a bagel with organge juice or milk
for lunch, dont' eat a lot, maybe just a salad will be fine
for dinner, this is the time when you're suppose to intake nutritients so i suggest eat out all the time if you don't have any idea what to cook, and get meals where you have veggie, fish, egg
if you can't finish, then that leftover can be your lunch the next day

When I was hypoglycemic (before it switched to diabetes), when my blood sugar was at its lowest was when I was not hungry. I have learned to use that (along with a craving for sweets) as a sign it is time to eat a snack.

The current snack of choice is a mix of soy nuts (protein), sunflower seeds (good fat and protein) and almonds (good fat and protein). I eat about 2 handfuls as a snack, and then maybe something carbohydrate. It does not fill me up, but it takes the edge off the craving. I am continuing to lose weight on this, as well as a general anti-sugar, anti-yeast diet (for other conditions I have as well as the diabetes.)

I know what you mean, that happened to me when I stopped taking Paxil. Your appetitie will gradually come back. I thought it was so incredibly weird not ever feeling hungry.

Hunger to me is nothing more than a distraction from my day. I eat just to shut it up more than anything else so I can get my crap done.
