She is 19, moving out of my moms house & looking for an apartment. She was denied because she had no credit. I fear co-signing the lease. (only co-sign if YOU plan to pay it ) What can she do?

She applied for credit cards, but was denied as well.

A few articles on building credit:

Meanwhile, if she is trying to find an apartment without credit, she may want to consider getting a roommate or housemate. This will give her a place to live while she builds credit by paying rent.

Hope this helps!

I'm suprised she can't even get one credit card, have you viewed a copy of her credit report to see if there's anything working against her there because credit card companies love to start reeling em in at that age, she should be bombed with solicitations.

Anyway, I think her options are to get a secured credit card which sucks but it's something.

Also, money talks if she offers a landlord 2 or 3 extra months rent above the first/last and deposit I'm pretty sure he'll go for it. I know most people don't have 6 monthes rent sitting around but if you or someone else could lend her the money it'd be alot less riskier than cosigning.

You can add her to your credit cards.

Just call your credit cards companies, give them her SS and info, she will be approve because you are responsible. "DO NOT GIVE HER THE CARDS" (unless you want to end-up paying).

After a few months she will credit history and apply for her own cards. Then you can cancel her of your account.

Get a job. Save some money. People will give you money if you don't have a need for it.
