The one travelling from London. When they meet (and I would like to know why they are on the same track, but that's another question), the one that came from London is closer because London is behind him, so he is closer by the length of the train...

I always hated these questions in school. Then I saw what you were actually asking. Very good! When they meet, collide, then one from London will still be closer to London, wherever they meet!

i was never good at these questions but i guess it is 2.
