well from what I've heard...if you do really bad things like kill innocent people or steal things, then you'll go to hell and get tortured for a every long time. But if you do a lot of good things in your life(and I mean a lot!), then you'll go to heaven where you'll live peacefully for the rest of your dead life. I'm not sure about this but if you do good things ands bad things, then you'll have to start a new life. And if you want to know why you can't remember a thing about your last life, well...theres a place where you have to wait in line( the place I'm talking about is not on earth) , and when you're there, you have to drink this kind of water that makes you forget everything. But when the place gets too crowded, some people are lucky and they don't have to drink it. Have you ever heard that some babies could talk when they were just born? Or that some people can remember things from their past life? Well thats what happens when you don't drink the "water".ALL OF THIS IS TRUE! atleast I think......

The physical body dies but not the spirit. You will choose if you want to be reincarnated or be a spirit guide to another human being or just being there in the spiritual world for a long time. Those who have done good are brought to a higher level...what others call heaven. God is so good to give us freewill. We still get to choose even in the afterlife. Yes we have an afterlife.

Our consciousnesses leave the physical body and begins to start floating around. Some of us can see our body lying motionless below and may then later realize we have left the body and must have died. Then we panic and start to go through a stage of confusion called the bardo stage. At this time we will begin to see vision or images projected by our our mind consciousness. Fearing these images and desiring to cling on to something tangible, we grasp at the images we can most identify. By doing this, our consciousness will be zapped into that trend of thought patterns and then take birth into a new form of existence as a growing life form in our new mother's womb. Whola! you are reborn or reincarnated. There is no soul and only the mind consciousness take existence.

What Happens in the Grave: (after a human dies)
We believe in the Trial of the Grave, which involves questioning the deceased person in his grave about his Lord, his religion, and his prophet. There "Allah confirms those who believe with a firm saying, in the present life and the hereafter" (14:27). The believer will say: "Allah is my Lord, Islam is my religion, and Muhammad is my prophet." The unbeliever or the hypocrite will say: "I do not know. I heard the people saying something and I said it."
We believe in the comfort of the grave for the believers: "Those whose lives the angels take in state of purity, saying 'peace be on you; enter paradise for what you were doing' (16:32).
We believe in the punishment of the grave for the transgressing unbelievers: "If you could only see when the evildoers are in the agonies of death and the angels are stretching out their hands, saying, 'Give up your souls! Today you shall be rewarded with the punishment of humiliation for what you used to say untrue about Allah, and for scornfully rejecting His signs"' (6:93). The sayings of the Prophet are numerous and well-known in this area. A Muslim must believe in all that is reported in the Qur'an and the prophetic traditions concerning the unseen matters. He should not contradict it by his worldly experience, because the affairs of the hereafter cannot be measured by the affairs of this life. The difference between them is very great. Allah is the source of help.
and all the muslims who are dead right now are asking Allah (God) to make the judgment day righ now because they can't wait for all of the great and wonderful things Allah has promised, while the others (non-muslims) are crying and asking Allah not to make the judgment day today, nor ever, cause they are suffring from hell in their graves right now.

Why would you ask a question as deep as that on a website like this? no one here will be able to answer that question for fact a better question would of been "what do you think happens after we are dead?"
Anyway, I'm not 100% sure what will happen, however im sure its going to be a trip when I go to find out.

Why ask about death when you have life? Like one person replied here, death is the one thing we have no knowledge about. Different people have different ideas depending on the faith and religious belief (or lack of) they have.
I'd say, instead of asking what comes AFTER life and after death, concentrate on living the life you have. Life itself is as beautiful and mysterious as the uncertain state of death. When you really think about it, you cannot live this life again. When you start asking questions about where you came from in the first place, and why you are here, you will question this very life itself, and in turn question its end and what comes after that. It is all interlinked. And they are questions that concern every single human being on this earth, regardless of their religious orientation or beliefs.
I suggest you pose this question to yourself. Life itself will give you an honest and sincere answer in time, within your lifetime. No one else here on Yahoo Answers can give you a definitive answer.

If God hasn't come for the second time yet your just dead and when he comes again if you were good follow and worship God and got baptist you will go to heaven for 1000 years while the diable is going to be tied in the destroyed world then after that live in the new world and if you were bad your going to be dead for 1000 years all dead in the destroyed world then when theres the new world you are going to be burning in hell.
Read Revelation and more books in the bible and pray that youll understand it God bless you.

No one knows. NO ONE.
Those that say they have the answer are fooling themselves. Even they in the rare moment of thoughful reflection may actally wonder as to wheather they really know the answer.
Then most will quickly think of something else , because the though of not knowing is frightening to them.
If death really is the end, then religious folks have been hoping for death only to have their existence terminated, and all their hopes dashed.
If there is no heaven, then we should try to make heaven on earth during our life, not try to convert everyone for something we can never be sure of.
I say drop religion ,and live life as fully as you can. Start out by flushing religion away @ http://flushaholybook.com

I wouldn't know, since I've never been dead. But for all we know death is the absolute end of everything. Any other versions you may have heard are only wishful thinking. So, take the most of this life. It might be the only one you get to live. And there's a life BEFORE death.
