You should get an African American name book. There are many unique names with strong meanings. That's how I named my son.

Malik or Jamaal are nice names.

I read some of the suggestions people gave and I bet you did not thing that many a*s*sholes were still living. On judgment day don't you want to stand behind them and see them explain their racist views.

I have always like the name Kelton or Trey for a boy. Congratulation on your new boy and being a mom. It is sooo hard to pick names because their are so many to choose from. Do what I did with my daughter name. I stood out side and yelled names down the street to see how I would sound calling that name to come eat. Some people may look at you crazy, but hey its not what the world thinks.

Give him a name that will remind him of his family and his roots BUT will also work well for him in the real world. Bible names are fantastic! Michael, Paul, David, Mark, Luke, John, Adam, etc. I gave my son a Bible name with my first name as his middle name.

You can still make it different and unique ... but please go easy on the kid. At least let the first name be something his classmates can pronounce in kindergarten.

It is hard to make suggestions as something as personal as this, as you have to feel from your heart what this baby has meant to you from the start, what he may look like, what your character is and so on. But I do have a few suggestions.DWAYNE, RORY.MOODY, TOBIAS,JACKSON,JOSEPH,DANT`E,JAMES,......I hope you get some ideas, try mixing these up together if that helps. CONGRATULATIONS TO YOU:)
