I'm scared....is it just supposed to go in the oven on top of the hot rack? I'm nervous it is going to burn?

the best thing to do with those silicone muffin pans is to put it on a cookie sheet and bake the muffins that way because the oven racks and silicone muffin pans dont work the best very wobbly

Don't be scared to use silicone. The only precautions you need to take, when making cakes, fill the silicone pan near or in the oven because there is no structure in the pan and it will collapse under the weight of the ingredients.

The booklet that came with the pans, says to put it on a tray in the oven and not directly on the rack..

Just like any other pan. It won't melt, it's designed that way. The flexibility just makes it easier to clean and it's totally dishwasher safe. Modern science just making life a little weirder!

Just like a metal pan, only be sure to support the bottom when you're moving it around.

No, it won't burn. But silicone can be unhealthful at high temperatures. It has a similar substance as Teflon!!!

if you have birds... it may kill them. put them outdoors while using the silicon
