If this is your first ever visit to US, apply only for Tourist Visa.
Had you also made your intentions clear as to your visit to US, the emanated answers could have been more useful. Anyway, I hope that would be visiting US now for tourist purpose only!!!!!!!!

Tourist Visa...
As long as you have a good / decent job in your country and a Bank account, you won't have any issues asking for a tourist visa. Go to your US embassy for more information.
Also pre-plan a trip (cities, hotels) to let them know u will just come for visiting purposes.
